1. Turn into a Frog

   Duck and then shoot a tombstone 15 times in a row and an angel character will appear. This angel will fire a bolt at you. Let it hit you and you'll become a frog.

2. Broken Timer

   Do the frog trick and time your 15th hit so that the frog spell hits you as the time runs out but before the death animation stops. The 0 in the minutes space of the timer will then change indefinitely in a fixed sequence every minute to a different number, letter, symbol, blank, or garbage character, sometimes in a different font. Arthur/frog (revived) will be either normal or disfigured and the music will stop. The glitch will last until Arthur dies or completes the level.

3. Hit final boss Astaroth in his belly eyes to hurt him

   Only hits to the eyes in the face in his belly actually hurt the final boss, Astaroth.
   
   To hit him at the correct height with a weapon that fires straight horizontally, like the Shield, jump, then press the fire button just before you land.
   
   Hits at that height--and only at that height--will hurt him. These hits make a different sound, and the hit flash is light red, rather than the usual blue.

1. Continue game with different weapon

   If during the demo the knight picks up a weapon, when you select continue your weapon will be what was picked up.

2. See the bonus message

   Successfully complete both of the quests and at the second screen of the ending, press A, B, Up, Down, A, B, Left, Right. If done right, you'll get the credits for the game.

3. Continue (Japanese version)

   At the title screen, hold down right and simultaneously press B three times (pressing A also works), then hit start.

4. Easy Win on Stage 6 Boss

   At the end of stage 6 the player will be challenged by 2 large flying red creatures known in the game as "Satan". While using the shield weapon, allow both "Satans" to swoop over Arthur's head so that they are both on the left side of the player. At this point, immediately run as far to the right as the game will allow then turn around as begin firing as fast as you can. Both Satans will stand directly in front of Arthur unable to use their swoop move, and the shield protects Arthur from incoming projectiles. This strategy leaves the "Satans" immobile, defenseless, and susceptible to defeat in a matter of seconds!

5. Hidden Shield (Early Access)

   Around the halfway point of stage 4 the player will finish a platforming section and encounter a Red Arremer on a stone path. If the player crouches at the very end of this stone path (just before it connects to the bridge) a hidden shield will drop on the bridge. This allows the player early access to the shield (which is generally found in stage 6) and can be immensely helpful in progressing through the game as it eats enemy projectiles!

Ghosts 'n Goblins Cheats For Sinclair ZX81/Spectrum

1. "Ultimate Sacrifice" Ending

   When you get to the last battle against the two gargoyles, the only way to reach the top platform where the princess is, is by getting hit mid-jump by one of the enemies. If you're already on your last hit, you can still rescue the princess by getting hit mid-jump and making sure your bones land on top of her. If done right, you'll still get the ending message, plus "Ultimate Sacrifice Bonus" will appear on the screen.
