A valiant return of the Shadowrun universe, but hurt by linearity and a frustrating checkpoint system.
In hindsight, it seems unthinkable that a universe of Shadowrun's cyberpunk/fantasy stature has gone so unheralded in the world of gaming. Since the 16-bit era, almost 2 decades have passed without a game properly set in... Read Full Review

Great potential, but flawed in some aspects of modern-day video games.
For a non-fan of the original pen'n'paper game, I enjoyed Shadowrun Returns just for the rare cyberpunk cum RPG setting, which is like a homage to Blade Runner. The rare great cyberpunk RPGs I've played include the Deus ... Read Full Review

Finally a return to the sprawl plus so much more.
So first thing I wanna say is yes the current campaign is kind of short, HOWEVER, I think alot of people think that this is only a game. Its not its also got a built in editor for creating your own campaign, this is basi... Read Full Review

Great writing. Great story. Great characters. But a very lite combat system and short campaign.
Shadowrun Returns is a game that was funded by gamers with the help of Kickstarter. It's been a couple of decades since we last a saw a Shadowrun video game, so many of us (including myself) were thrilled to finally see ... Read Full Review

Shadowrun awakens from its long slumber with a stellar example of how a CRPG should be made, even if it's rather short.
Although I'm an extremely biased PC gamer at heart, there have been a few console games that even a bitter computer obsessed grognard like me has found both statistically deep and non-linear enough to please my finicky e... Read Full Review

Great story and atmopshere. Great value for its price tag
It is refreshing to see a game that focuses around story and atmosphere instead of relying on series of factitious moments to keep our interest. From the moment you create your character, story itself pushes you to keep ... Read Full Review

This is a IOS hand-held game being sold on the pretense of being a full fledged desktop CRPG.
Budgets aside, because the budget (or lack there of) is not what's the major pitfull of this product. The real problem is the initial design of the game as a desktop CRPG. I'm someone who has played RPGs on the PC for a ... Read Full Review
