Is this the golden hour for a Steam Machine revival?

@ghostofgolden: I've been building pc for a long time. But I think it's cheaper to get a prebuilt machine. These companies get deals on parts that the average consumer doesn't, and gives out deals if you're patient. Just wait for end of year, or for them to clear out stock for new generation.

I can see a world where ms quit the console business and let other manufacturers create the box.
