Final Fight is horrible beyond belief, ranging from 2P Mode being gone among other things.

Final Fight is pretty much your typical beat-em-up: an evil gang has taken over a city, kidnapped the mayor's daughter and it is up to you to kick butt all the way to the very end. For a game that was praised during its arcade days, the SNES port is very disappointing.

For starters, 2P mode is gone completely. Why......would you make a beat-em-up without having a second player option for people that love to beat the hell out of gangs in the streets is beyond me? Another thing removed from the SNES port is Guy, who was the more popular fighter in the game. In the arcade they were 3 characters: Cody, Haggar and Guy. Cody was the average fighter, Haggar was the slow yet powerful fighter and Guy was the quick fighter, which is a shame that he is gone from the game that also makes no sense to me whatsoever.

Should anyone want to continue on with the game to the end, expect to take a long time to get there cause Final Fight is hard. Not that there's anything wrong with a hard game, it's the fact that should you die (which you will do a lot of), it puts you ALL the way at the beginning of the level as opposed to starting back at the point where you died, making things even more frustrating than it already is.

It is very difficult to recommend Final Fight for anyone who owns a Wii and has access to Virtual Console. No 2P mode, Guy removed completely and extreme difficultly really hurts this game a lot. If anything, go for Streets of Rage 2.
