Yes I am seriously hyped! I loved the atmosphere of Fallout 3 and exploring the world Bethesda created. I don't really care that they fudged the Fallout lore a bit.

No. I wasn't terribly impressed with Fallout 3. Fallout Vegas was a little better, but it's just basically a FPS and there are a ton of those out there. I still miss the nostalgic times of Fallout 1 and 2.

Nope, afther great RPGs like Pillars of Eternity, Divinity: Original Sin, Witcher 3, Wasteland 2.. and so on, Bethesda needs to up their game to make a good RPG, their boring quests, generic boring world and dungeon design are not gona cut it anymore.

Looks like it's too soon to tell anyways. Idk if this will be just a multiplayer only game. The only concern too is for the fact that too for when it will arrive as well as any DLCs if possible.

I'm excited, enjoyed fallout 3 a lot but tbh think fallout new Vegas much more. Either way I'll enjoy it but hope it's more like a av then 3 so I'll have even more fun.

Not really, I'm following D00M IV over FO4. It has more to prove as a game. And what we know has me very excited.

And Fallout 4 based on the trailer looks to be FO3.5 to be honest.

Would also rather hear about a The Evil Within II.

I am really excited. Loved Fallout 3, New Vegas and parts of the first title in the series I was able to play. Although it is early I still think it could turn out to be great. Quest/stories/characters are something Bethesda are horrible at, but the atmosphere they provide into their games are what get me hooked.

I couldn't care less. Fallout 3 was visually stunning, but everything else about it was pretty bland and boring. I have a strong feeling that Fallout 4 will end up in the same situation. With that said, I'll probably rent it, but I am not excited for Fallout 4 at all.

After a five year wait, it's really hard for me not to be excited about Fallout 4, even though we only seen an initial trailer so far. It really isn't fair to judge the game from that video alone. We'll probably be seeing gameplay at E3 anyway.

I would, considering I've played every other TES and Fallout games, arena to skyrim, F1 to New vegas, but I don't have a "next gen" console and my "gaming" computer that I slapped together with old and new parts for nearly $100 is most likely too weak. But If I ever buy a PS4/XB1, or upgrade my PC, (probably the latter) I'll definitely get it.

Not interested so far. Seems to run off the same engine as all the companies other games. Which is not a good thing. I was hoping after skyrim being such a glitchy mess, that they'd finally move past that old outdated engine but they didn't. So now the game looks like a modded version of it's last generation tittles on pc, while housing I'm assuming the same issues that have plagued all their games. Horrible non mo cap animations, game breaking/ immersion breaking glitches, horrible performance, and cut and dry black and white decisions.

When will companies finally just move past this 10-15 year old software, instead of just slightly improving it to make it barely acceptable?

Let's say I see a farmer with nice trousers. Also, I saw his son with a sword I like, but it's late now and he is in the family house (which is locked). What do I do?

Most games: Nothing. Most of the time if I kill the farmer (if this is even allowed!) I'll only get a standard (and probably irrelevant) piece of loot. Also, the house door is locked, but even if it wasn't I would probably be unable to a) kill an innocent NPC or b) loot his body for the exact things his model has.
Bethesda games: I kill the farmer, then search his body. I take the trousers (I can take any clothes he wears and dress up exactly like him if I want to) and I also take the key to his house. I open the door, walk to the sleeping son and pickpocket him to grab his sword. Every NPC is like you: he has an inventory with all the things he posseses (even his clothes and house keys), his stats and so on.

Conclusion: A more intresting story would be nice, but not what makes Bethesda games the best (IMHO, of course). Extremely hyped for FO4.

The Witcher characters are dull. The Witcher setting is unoriginal and too fake. The Witcher story is dull. Over all The Witcher games over rellay on dark theme instead of make anything good.

That is why I enjoy Bethesda more complex setting better.

@wiouds: is this opposite day because Skyrim was incredibly repetitive and lacked diversity in terms of just about everything. You have no idea how intricate and complex the Witcher 3 world is, do you? There is so much variety, especially in terms of quests and the way they affect the story/world. Here's one quick example, there's one quest where you end up determing a certain woman killed someone and she is sent somewhere to be executed and that's that. But if you randomly travel later on to a certain island you will find her body, left to die of starvation on that island. This is the kind of detail that world has, everything you do has specific unique consequences, so if you think for one second that Witcher is dull/fake/lacks complexity/whatever then you are out of your damn mind:). Whatever you think you know about it, it's fully inaccurate. Play it, don't miss out on it because of misconceptions, open your mind, you have no idea what you're actually missing.

Could you please take the fanboy discussion about Witcher 3 into a new thread? this is about Fallout 4

But with that said Skyrim is miles ahead of Witcher 3 and i do not get this fanboy cult following the game has gotten, but i guess its no different than with Dark Souls and many other cult games.

@Jacanuk: lol, really? I am the fanboy? I've spent 50-60 hours in Skyrim and I don't need more than 2 in Witcher to realize it's superior in every way.

God forbid you actually play it and realize that too, your head might explode. Sorry to inform you but unlike you I actually play games at lenght before passing judgment, I'm not the fanboy here. I shall leave this Bethesda fanboy den and you won't hear from me here again, happy to oblige.

Good day.

Too soon to tell, but after seeing O'Dwyer and Waters breakdown the trailer, I think the game will be largely the same experience as Fallout 3. Personally, I like the old isometric RPG style (huge fan of Infinity Egine RPGs), but Fallout 3 was a lot of fun. It often feels like playing Elder Scrolls games with a sci fi veneer, which isn't necessarily good or bad. We will have to wait and see.

I am sorry for cause a derailed.

I was just saying in my post that it too soon for me to get onto the hype of Fallout 4 but I do enjoy how complex Bethesda make their world with another a different theme and tone to the setting. Like a mine were there a journal about a miner getting disheartened by not finding gold while complaining about the falling rocks. You also part where people are helping out others. Then there the civil war which is show as both side have good reason that they fight and problem to their side as well. That type of complexity that I do not find in The Witcher that I played and it over use of dark theme.

Yes, because mods.

I wanted to wait before thinking of upgrading my PC until the inevitable FO/TES sequel was announced so I could get something well beyond the recommended specs (planning in advance for ENBs, community textures and such). But beyond the usual graphical upgrades, the community does a great job of fixing Bethesda's failures in gameplay as well.

I'm looking forward to Fallout 4. Fallout 3 and New Vegas are both one of the few games I can play for hours on end effortlessly, more-so than TES as I find the sci fi setting more fascinating and the combat removed of repetition (VATS and guns). I've played through FO3 3 times, 3rd time with mods and clocked in 140 odd hours of time. It's just one of those games that immerses you in the moment with no fatigue from objective bombardment, grinding or roller-coaster pacing. It's you struggling to survive in the lonely desolate wasteland, never knowing where you'll end up next.

@GameSpot: This just proves that 18% of people can't enjoy anything. Seriously, if you're not happy about Fallout 4 coming out this year, you should hand in your gamer badge and light gun.
