Pepsi or Coke

I normally only drink diet soda when I do drink it, and they both make some good diet sodas.

But Dr. Pepper is clearly best.

@Litchie: Have you tried the Dr Pepper Cream Soda yet? Damn good imo (but even the diet is far to sweet to have more then one can imo).

@vfighter: I have not, but cream sodas often feel too... creamy for me. :P Don't like when sodas feel thick. Might be good though. Sadly we get like two percent of all the sodas that exist in the US here in Sweden, I've never seen any other variation of Dr. Pepper than diet.

I think we all know Coke is more popular. I can't drink Coke, it's awful. Pepsi is fine, but I don't drink it either. Dr. Pepper is my soda of choice.

Not that I drink regular soda much at all, on the rare occasion I do, it needs to be either Mexican Coke (sugar) or Pepsi with actual sugar. That company used to release Throwback once a year but now offers cans with actual sugar all the time and one can tell the difference between actual cane sugar and HFCS.

I can't understand how someone can call Coke awful, but enjoy Pepsi. That just sounds extremely silly to me. It's the same shit. Carbonated cola-flavored sugar water, with a tiny difference. Maybe Coke is awful in the US or something? I've heard our Coke is better than theirs.

Dr. Pepper is the same shit too with some cherry / almond flavor added to it.

Almost as silly as those special snowflakes who claim the M&M colors have their own taste. Almost.

@Litchie: I don't know why you would take issue with this. They taste different. They're specifically made to taste different, and they do. One I don't like, the other I do, simple as that. I have no brand preference; like I said, I don't usually drink either one. And yes, I can actually tell. We had a whole silly cola taste test thing way back in high school science. I had a 100% success in telling apart not just Coke and Pepsi, but several different colas.

I don't see what the issue is. People like or dislike different pizzas, spaghetti sauces, coffees & teas, wines & beers, all kinds of things that are made of almost exactly the same ingredients. Why should a sugary drink be any different, and why should it confuse you? I suppose you don't have a preference for any brand of any of these things?

Or, let me guess: you do, but in your case, it's different.

Sure I do. I like Coke more, as I said. But I wouldn't call Pepsi awful, since it tastes very similar. Saying the other is awful just sounds like hyperbole.

Coke taste way better than dirty tasting Pepsi. Coke Zero for me.

For cola, I like Coca Cola.

Diet soft drinks taste "very similar" to regular ones, too, also by design. But calling them awful is possibly even more common than Coke fans hating Pepsi, and vice-versa. It's as normal as can be.

And you dodged my question. You don't think a certain coffee, tea, beer, wine, etc is good, but also think some other brand is awful? If you like coffee, then you like every brand of coffee? Give me a break.

Pepsi forever. I’ll drink Sprite if I have to drink a Coke product. Coke did something to their formula. I can’t drink it without getting a stomach ache now. That doesn’t happen to me with any other soda.

Coca Cola is the superior cola by far.

However I think Pepsi has better brands, i.e. Mt. Dew. I love Mt Dew.

OMFG Cheerwine is so good, my uncle is from the south and he introduced that to me when I went to visit years ago. We don't get it in supermarkets here in California for whatever reason (I'm sure you can find it in some specific stores).
