I’ve been at home for quite a long time, now I have plenty of time playing any game that I want!

But after spending too many days simply playing games, I start to feel a little bored! Sigh.

Anyone feels the same? How long have u been staying at home?

I just watched this staying-at-home-due-to-coronavirus video and I find it soooo hilarious!

Eating tasteless pickles at hand, eating the tastiest feast in imaginary!

2 weeks of lockdown for me, just been staying inside and reading/gaming, getting some home workouts and jogs in when the weather is nicer. Get ready to deal with this for a couple more months.

Still working, though got 4 hours off per week. work at a bottle-o, so it's an "essential business" otherwise the really bad alcoholics will end up in hospital making things worse.

No. They're preparing some of us for work from home. All stations are now assigned, no more open seating. Computers have been moved so that there is a space between every agent now. One of the doors we previously had to scan into is now permanently open. We're being asked to wipe down stations at the beginning and end of every shift, but I normally don't.

Still working 4 days a week. I'm in HVAC wholesale. Considered essential business as we supply parts to hospitals and senior centers.

Been home for two weeks now. It's pretty boring when everything outside is closed except for grocery outlets and fast food.

I'm in Maryland. We have an order for all 'non-essential' businesses to close, but the list leaves loopholes for just about every business to stay open. My company has looked at the rules and decided we were exempt so I am still working. My daycare just deemed me as a non-essential employee though, so it is a kind of conundrum I'm in.

So, my brother just looked out the window and noticed that you can very clearly see the mountains all the way on the other side of the valley, which you typically can't because of all the smog. The streets and roads are much emptier than usual. Just more reason for me to dislike personal automobiles.

Don't usually go out much anyway, just for some shopping once a month. Now even that is cancelled, and I'm living off my bi-weekly grocery deliveries.

I'm made for this quarantine.

@Chutebox: I hope our leaders will learn from this. Probably not, though.

There should be much more of a push for work from home and more funding going towards public transportation, as well as more restrictions and taxes on personal vehicles.

Yep, I've been working from home for a little over a week now. My employer is keeping it that way until further notice. It has been pretty great so far. No commute, no people, and I get to blast crappy music from a set of good speakers.

Other than groceries and work, my family and I have locked ourselves up at home. We're preparing to move to Arizona in a month, so we're going through our house and identifying things to either donate or throw away (which amounts to about 60% of our belongings).

Semiconductor manufacturing is considered essential, so my wife and I still have work to do. I feel bad for my 4 year old son. He hasn't been out of the house in 2 weeks.

Orders are up 300%, so I am working my ass off.

Other than that, my personal life is not too different. It's only other people and the grocery store that I really notice stuff.

I tell you what, though, I really hope people notice how different the environment is right now. Smog is gone, rivers are clear when they are normally muddy....even the Venice canals are clear!

You can't deny now that humans have a negative impact on the environment.

I'm also hoping some businesses close down and stay closed. I know that's kind of messed up because those are jobs we are talking about, but if a corporation shuts down and a few dozen small businesses open up in its wake, I am fine with that.

My college is closed for now but I go outside whenever I want. It is unhealthier to stay in closed space all the fucking time. I am not afraid of getting infected since it all depends on your own immune system nothing else.

in NY but not in the city. both my wife and i have been wfh for past 2 weeks. it's been difficult as we have 2 young kids ( 4 and 1 ) that need constant attention ( 1 y/o at least does ).

weekdays we try to trade who will watch kids while the other tries to get some amount of work done or attend an important cc but it's been nearly impossible to work effectively while the kids are awake. nap times offer some respite and a chance to be productive but that's an hour or two if we're lucky.

sleep has dropped as now i'm spending nights trying to catch up on work that didn't get done during normal working hours. for example it's nearly 2am now and i'm still working.... trying to be a full time stay at home parent and a full time employee is lots of fun.

just learned we have at least 5 more weeks of this shit..

I work in a grocery store in Western Canada and I was told that we won't lose our jobs unless we come down with the coronavirus, so I am pretty ok with with it. Been staying in a large part of the time unless to go to my brothers place for a dinner or a cafe at a Tim Horton's. I have been getting more hours than usual though. Sorry for all those who are sick or in quarantined.

At least us gamers have something to do while indoors. God Bless everyone.

@comp_atkins: To be honest to you, I do watch the news every morning, as I heard this coronavirus b.s could last up to a year to a year and a half. I seen it on CBC News Network a number of times. Scary. Hope I heard wrong, but don't think so.

Apparently we are supposed to get a second wave of the coronavirus about next fall, or so I was told by a few people, but not confirmed by the news. Don't put that in stone, still not 100% on that word.

i think that's what happened in 1918 w/ the spanish flu. it died down over the summer months but then came back in the fall/winter and slammed everyone again.

ultimately the question is when can we get an effective vaccine created and mode widespread, which would be months and months away even in the most optimistic scenarios.

its possible as more effective treatments take hold though, there will be staged lessening of quarantines in lightly affected areas and a focus on containing / tracking any cases that occur in those areas to ensure it does not expand

I still went to work last week. However, as the outbreak of COVID-19 disease continues to spread across the world and get worse, I'm working online now. During 2-week social distancing, I think I'll spend time watching some film series on Netflix to chill out. Hope this situation will get better soon.

Yeah I’ve been staying home since the middle of March. Luckily I’m able to fully work from home, so that’s what I’ve been doing during the week. Other than that, it’s been exercising, video games and movies for my entertainment.

Still have to go to work. Outside of that and the occasional run to pick up food .. yes.

On a positive note been doing alot of gaming. Beat Doom 2016, Doom Eternal and RE3 since all this started.

Still working and haven't got around to any games since the holidays. I still see a lot of people out and about though despite it all but nothing has changed for me. I even have documentation signed by the guvna in case I get questioned. Feels like having a hall pass.

I work as an IT consultant for a worldwide consulting firm as a cloud architect. When I work onsite, it's almost always at the client's site so how often I work onsite depends on the preference/budget of the client. The client I'm working for now was already only bringing us out one week out of the month so shifting to entirely WFH is not that much of a transition. Basically my job and income are unaffected by this situation for now. My wife's a part-time PERA professional for our children's elementary school (formerly a middle school teacher before we had kids). She's still drawing her salary like normal as well.

But things are weird. Not going out feels off. We do walks and bike rides with masks. My wife made some really nice masks out of a pair of old jeans and some extra fabric she had, and I 3D printed some "ear savers" to bind them in the back. My kids can't go to BJJ so I pulled out the mats and am giving them lessons at home daily. I'm taking DDR breaks during the day to get moving and break up the monotony. We're in a good routine but this is a strange new normal.
