No one likes to admit they are a tool of marketing, but driving on the freeway I see it every day, people who have slapped clothing brand stickers on their cars.  And I start to judge them, but then I realize that I have a few brand loyalties myself.

So what brands are you loyal to?

I'll start off with some:

  • Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo for gaming
  • Samsung for TV's and smart phones
  • Converse shoes
  • Any brand of beer (okay doesn't count)
  • Old Spice Original deoderant
  • Excedrin
  • Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles Dodgers and Lake Elisnore Storm.

That's probably a good enough start.

Loyalty as in you have trusted the brand in the past because of good products so you keep buying that brand. There is nothing moronic about the continuous use of good service.

 Again, brand loyalty is moronic. You don't even grasp the idea of what brand loyalty is, which basically means you buy something based on who made it and not how good it is. Which is moronic to trust a product based on the brand name only.

Have fun missing out on some potentially good stuff. Thats the risk you take judging by brand not by the product. Nothing wrong with taking a risk and looking into new things.

Of course there's nothing wrong with taking a risk and looking into new things, as there is nothing wrong with continuing to use a produce your used to. I always buy Samsung Monitors because they have been great monitors in the past and I like their menu layout, I tend to stick to TomTom GPS because I like how they draw their maps and the menu system etc. It's funny how you call "brand loyalty" moronic yet you agree with taking a blind risk...

Looking at the title I thought it said bands not brands. Only thing that I would guess you could say I am loyal to is New Balance as I have to wear their shoes as I am flat footed.

Converse for shoes cause I just like how they look, sometimes go for Vans, Nike, Skechers, and looking to get a pair of Lacoste sneakers some day. Nintendo for gaming because I just love their first party games. I also own a decent PC for gaming though and I'm interested into getting a PS3 and PS4 in the future. Recently Samsung for monitors and smartphones because we've been happy with them before. We tried other brands but we still prefer Samsung. Sennheiser for earphones because I like how they look and sound. Used to own Philips but weren't too happy with them. Not really loyal to any brand but there are definitely brands I'd prefer over others. I take a few risks every now and then and get a different brand and sometimes it pays off but other times I regret it.

Jeep and BMW for cars. Jeep was my first car...BMW is my favorite.

Bud Lite for national beer just because it's standard wherever you go.

Other than that not much.....I stay away from certain brands more than loyalty. I stay away from way overpriced Apple stuff. Try not to buy crap made in China.

I agree with Ghost on this one. Why would I buy Beats when I could buy a headphone from a better but more unknown audio company?

I have a tendency to go for good looking high quality and high priced products.

Which sucks, because I dont have so much money and when I do I waste it all on an expensive product.

None really, I'll buy any brand if they make a good product. Maybe Nike though. Probably every pair of shoes I've purchased in the last 10 years have been Nikes, but I don't really have a reason for that other than they make good sneakers.

agreed. often times loyalty comes without question, thus should be reserved for close relationship or a diligent cause.

"brand loyalty" is a euphemism for cognitive dissonance.
