My comp has an ATI Radeon xpress 200, I think that its an integrated video adapter, at least something along those lines. Anyway I have a free pci-express slot but Im not sure if I can put in just any video card. For example do you think a nvidia video card would work seeing as its an 'ATI' integrated video adapter thing.
Also if I should be able to install a video card does anyone have a reccommendation, I have roughly £100 to spend on one.
Yes it will work, you just need to disable the onboard. for about £100, you could get a 7900GS, or for a bit more £125 ish you could get an X1950 Pro, which is a fair amount better.
Don't worry, you don't need an ATI card just because the motherboard has an ATI chipset. In fact for that budget an Nvidia would be best, something like a 7600GT or a 7900GS.
Thanks for quick responses. I thought putting a nvidia in something ATI might be like putting windows media player on a mac (damn impossible and not worth the trouble)
