G'day,

Got an issue with Task Manager not displaying the correct time the CPU has been on for. I have had it on for a couple of hours this morning, gone into Task Manager > Performance > CPU and it says the Up Time is almost 24 hours, despite being off overnight.

Any help would be great.

Thanks

Windows does not restart when you shut it down. It copies RAM to disk and when you power it back on it copies that RAM state back into RAM.

If you want to reset the Up Time you have to select Restart, not Shut Down.

Because windows goes into hibernation when you shut down. You would have to do a manual reset or set a batch file that does a full shutdown or do a registry edit which I do not recommend.
