Yeah a bit disappointed with the traffic :( as expected from a console. Can't wait for pc.
[QUOTE="blangenakker"]Is it just me or does the city in GTA 5 look kinda empty at timeskozzy1234
It is not empty at all, even the open areas that seem empty like the desert/forest, but there are tons of animals to hunt,etc..
There is so many damn side missions and activities to do in it its ridicolous, leagues better than gta 4 imo.
Well, GTA 4 in my opinion was a major letdown. Is it leagues better than San Andreas? GTA 5 looks good though since the very first screenshots they released and I'll happily wait for the PC version. My class mate who is a gamer chick keeps talking about it but she's a console gamer haha. Kinda kills it.[QUOTE="kozzy1234"][QUOTE="blangenakker"]Is it just me or does the city in GTA 5 look kinda empty at timesElann2008

I'm extremely impressed with the visuals, moreso than I was with TLOU. How Rockstar got this out of the crappy current gen hardware is mind boggling.lockjaw333
Thats what I've been saying! Rockstar outdid themselves, what they pulled off on ancient hardware is extremely impressive.

Forget San Andreas! GTA V is miles better and easily the best GTA game ever.

The traffic is a lot better than the screenshots lead you to believe. The freeways are packed with high density traffic on both lanes, at times even more cars than GTA IV on PC with maxed out vehicle density slider. You have to see this game in motion mate.

Traffic's not too bad, only that i don't see cop cars patrolling around, they only appear when my wanted level increases.
What concerns me is performance during the day time. On foot and during the night it's ultra smooth on ps3, but driving a bit fast on daytime feels like below 20 fps to me.
At some points in roads with high density traffic, there are lots of cars moving slow during their conmuting.
Traffic has been so vastly improved, they now drive at a more believable speed, now walking in the highway is a real threat

cosign, SA and Vice City where my favorite gta games so far, I was expecting SA 2 with GTA 5 but it is so much more than just a SA 2. Hands down best gta for, its like the best parts of sa and vice city and so much more. Its pretty amazing what they where able to do with these old consoles lol.
And Ellan, dont worry, gta 4 was a letdown for me to, but this is sooooo much better its not even funny. GTA is back to being 100% about fun :P
Is GTA5's combat no longer the shitstain that plagued the series since GTA3? Did it really change to Max Payne 3-ish gunplay or are we still firing pellets are bullet sponges?
Mechanics are so polished. Combat is so funny and satisfying. Also missions have been very well scripted. Theres no longer the 'Go to the red marker to start missión'. There are very intense ingame cinematics and they're a joy to play. Character movement and physics are superb, car handling is accurate, although it may feel a bit dull at times, but at least you can drive properly. Car Collisions are a bit bad though, just my opinion. Is GTA5's combat no longer the shitstain that plagued the series since GTA3? The aiming in GTA IV left something to be desired but with improvements from Red Dead, LA Noire, and Max Payne 3 carrying over, this is easily the smoothest and most fun GTA ever in terms of minute-to-minute action.

The combat is alot more like MP3 (and RDR) than it is previous gta combat imo.

Hand to hand combat I think is still pretty poor. It's slow and unresponsive
The gunplay is much better but it's not Max Payne 3 good. It's still heavily reliant on Auto aim but it's a lot tighter and more fun to do than it was in IV

I have the game :). However I knew I was going to be disappointed since the consoles can only do so much, they did a good job with the limitations though. My expectations wasn't exactly realistic either though, I live in LA, so you can see why I wanted a jammed freeway

imagine a mod to make it like real traffic at the right times. Complete gridlock

Are you guys using a capture card? Tbh, I have no clue on how to use ps3 anymore  I'd like to share some picts for gta, but have no means and dont mean to flood the topic with no pict post either.
Yep, Roxio HD Capture Card for me. I also use PNG files instead of JPG like every other capture device does. Are you guys using a capture card? I don't own a capture card, but Rockstar's Social club lets you take and upload cell phone pictures in GTA V.Are you guys using a capture card? Incredible, the video is awesome too. Great fvcking work dude. Can't imagine how long it took to actually record all that footage.Working on a GTA V video, here are some screenshots from it:Ben-Buja
There's so many little details in the game you wouldn't even notice until it's sped up. Like the way the clouds move from left to right as they stream across the sky. It's amazing
