Is there any way to safely disable / enable a USB device via Windows instead of plugging the device out of the USB slot everytime? Certain non-racing game menus go crazy when my wheel is connected and the only way to stop it is to unplug the wheel while I'm playing those games.

I know you have the right click --> disable option in Windows Device Manager but is that safe? Is it as simple as just right click --> enable once I'm done or will it mess up the driver installation or worse?

You have already figured it out. It is not going to do any harm. The worst thing that is going to happen is that it may not detect the device right away when enabling it and you may have to unplug it and plug it again or reboot Windows.

Cool, thanks.
