Oh look, another thread comparing two games that are nothing alike apart from a third-person perspective.
You might as well addRed Dead Redemption,Limbo, and Vanquish while we're talking.

they're not at all the same genre, you just said so yourself. literally the only thing they have in common is the fact that they're in 3rd person perspective
Doesn't matter. Ridge Racer and GT5 are technically not in the same genre but you can still compare the two and some people are more into arcade racers while others into realistic driving sims.they're not at all the same genre, you just said so yourself. literally the only thing they have in common is the fact that they're in 3rd person perspective

Batman for me
Though Nathan Drake and Uncharted in general are well written, come on, its Batman!
Seriously though, Batman's combat is better, gameplay is better, controls are better, charecters are better, and settings are better
Uncharted takes platforming and wiriting, but thats just not enough.
Uncharted for me the online is great but batman is also great got batman AC on launch date and still havent found the time to try it out yet

No way I could possibly decide. I love them both.TomatoDragonPSN
I'm with you on that one-tough choice:(
Batman. UC is a great franchise, but I honestly think the Batman games are better.
I've always felt the UC series was overrated by a couple points.
having played both, i would say batman. it lasts longer (unless you play multiplayer for uncharted), its more addictive, and its more satisfying.
There is absolutely no contest for me in this matter. This is going by Batman Arkham Asylum, Batman Arkham city and Uncharted 2
Gameplay
The Batman Arkham games are far superior to the Uncharted games. There are far more gameplay mechanics in the arkham games and each aspect inividually has more depth and polish than the few shallow things Uncharted does. Also, the "platforming" in Uncharted was one of the worst mechanics I've played this gen. It's so linear (there were absolutely no variables to it whatsoever) and slow. Then the devlopers thought it would be a good idea to double the length of these segments by making almost everything break under Drake's weight. The suspense dissapears after the 60th time and by the time the game is at the halfway point it turns into a arena shooter. This reliance on the game's major mechanic for the later half begins to wear thin quite quickly as enemy and weapon variety is extremely low and the enemies' ability to take so many hits means the action is slow and tedious.
Lasting appeal
The Batman Arkham games completely obliterate the Uncharted games in this regard. All uncharted has is difficulty levels and treasures. The batman games have more content in the Riddler trophies alone and some individual riddler trophies are more clever than the entirety of Uncharted 2. Then you have the challenge rooms that extend the gameplay 10 fold.
Story
The Stories in the Batman Arkham games are far superior to the Story present in Uncharted 2. Quite frankly, Uncharted 2's plot is shockingly weak for a game that's so focused on the story so saying the Arkham games had better stories isn't saying that much
All in all, I found Uncharted 2 to be mediocre at its very best and the Batman Arkham games to be some of the greatest of the generation

The Uncharted games are fun but I usually finish it within a week and then I'm not really interested in playing through it again.
The Batman games are a bit more meaty.
So Uncharted is more of a rental for me while Batman is more purchaseable. I still wait for goty to make the actual purchase but I do that with every game now.

I own all 3 games in the Uncharted series. I didn't like the Arkham Asylum demo and never gave the game another shot.
I pretty much like Batman and Nate equally, there is more history with Batman, love the animated series but of course going by the games I adore both series. Arkham Games came out of nowhere and became of one my favourite and Uncharted is Indie done right in game form. And if that's not hard enough both Catwoman and Chloe are the hottest game characters this gen! Yeah I really can't decide, so, like Two-face excuse me while I flip a coin....
And Uncharted wins!
I have to go with Uncharted. Between the story, characters, pacing, visuals, setpieces, gameplay variety... it's just the better game for me. Both are great, just depends on what you want I guess. Some will prefer a larger game like Batman AC and some will prefer a more tied off linear expierence with a sense of pacing and cohesion.
Either way I purchased both day one and both games were well worth the 60$.
I've only played the first Uncharted and Arkham Asylum and Arkham was a hell of alot better than Uncharted. Hell, Uncharted is barely a good game in my book.vashkeyI understad why you didnt just pick one serives over the other, you cant pass judgement based on just the first games. Specially with the more critically acclaimed titles for both are the latter sequels.
The Uncharted Series.
1 excellent game (UC2), 1 very good game (UC1), and 1 pretty good game (UC3) outweigh 1 excellent game (AA), and 1 good game (AC).
I love both series' but I'm going to say the Batman Arkham series because both games feature in my top 10 PS3 games, whilst only Uncharted 2 is the only Uncharted game to feature in the list
I would have voted, but for some reason the TC didn't find it important enough to put "both" as an option. I like both series.AmazonTreeBoaI want to know which one is more popular, you're supposed to pick just one.
