Super Mario Bros.
Goldeneye 007
Pokemon Gold.
@benny_boy98: International Super Star Soccer Deluxe on the SNES and Mario Kart 64 on the Nintendo 64
...they're the main ones anyway.
-Pokemon.
-Halo.
-Ago of empires (:
-Does Skyrim count when I was 14? It's still my all time favorite till today
-FIFA (even though now I never buy it because buying it every year just is to much for me)
Super Mario World, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time, Sonic... These I consider a few of the child hood games that I still play today. That is only due to me buying these older systems and games again so my children can also enjoy the experience I did as a kid.
I guess my favorite would be the first game I ever played, which was Pac Man. My family owned an arcade machine which ran the original Pac Man that they got from a friend, and it was probably my first real exposure to a game. I remember playing it almost non stop when I was a kid, especially since it was the only really came that I had before I got my first console. it's not may favorite game of all time, and it doesn't hold up too well against modern games, obviously, but I think the memories that I have with it are a bit more significant
on NES: Super Spike V-Ball, Super Dodgeball, Super Mario 3, Bases Loaded 2
on SNES: Sim City, Final Fantasy 2 (aka final fantasy 4), Donkey Kong Country 1-3, Contra III Alien Wars, Chrono Trigger
on PC: Ultima 7, Jagged Alliance, Simcity 2 & 3, Sim Farm, Clouds of Xeen, Syndicate, Day of the Tentacle, Sam and Max Hit the Road, Jones in the Fast Lane, Magic Carpet 2, Civilization, Scorched Earth, Privateer, Monkey Island, Command and Conquer, Warcraft 2, Dune 2
Some of the games i guess i'd almost been a teen by the time i played them but most of these i'd consider myself a child when i first played them.
A lot of games on PS1/PS2, Game Boy, Xbox, Gamecube, N64, etc. Games like Crash Team Racing, Pokemon Blue/Red, Tekken 4, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3/4, Star Wars Battlefront, Black Stone: Magic and Steel, Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Super Smash Brothers Melee, Army Men: Sarges Heroes, Jet Set Radio Future, NFL Street, Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins, etc.
The first "Falcon" game, although it wouldn't play on my PCjr so that made me covet it all the more. The original Test Drive was cool. Summer Games on C64 had a lot of variety.
There was a -really- cool Microprose turn based 4x strat game called Master of Magic, although I was 18 when it came out so I don't know if you could call that a "childhood" game (yeah, I'm freakin' old). Basically picture any 4x space exploration/expansion game only with wizards and magic instead of space ships and technology.
"Stunts!" was a great game. Kinda like Hard Drivin' but for home PC and featured track creation. Stunt Drivin' was similar.
The original Duke Nukem 3D was literally the first LAN game I ever played in my house, only back then the network was set up with 2 base-T co-axial network cabling over IPX/SPX and using Novel Netware Lite.
If we're talking when I was -really- a kid, then we are talking like Spacewar, Jumpman, and all the old school Sierra games like King's Quest, Space Quest, Liesure Suit Larry, and Police Quest.

There weren't too many Atari 2600 games that I actually liked back then. The vast majority of them really sucked but before NES came out, I liked some of the Arcade games but NES is what really got my gaming interests.
BTW, for some of you youngsters that missed out on the arcade glory days where large rooms filled with what was then the most superior versions of games. This will give you an idea of what they sounded like when you walked in. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6NrxMMxxUkI

In my teens I really liked Super Smash Bros. Melee, Final Fantasy series, Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania series, Devil May Cry, The Legend of Zelda series, Halo, Chrono Trigger, Lunar 1-2, Soul Calibur 2,
Wow, too many to name. If I had to choose one that encapsulates my youth, I'm going to have to go with Streets Of Rage 2. Not only is it a classic, but I legitimately think it's one of the best games ever made.
Goldeneye 64 is defeinitely up there as well. That game defined my early teens.
My first game Was regnum Online, Thats when i got into rpg's and pvp!!, The game sure has changed since then.
Hi, everyone!
Recently I've found a beautiful website about the history of video games (http://history-of-video-games.webflow.io) which describes briefly all the games we used to play when we were kids. Maybe you would like to look at it :)
