Mother 1 will be released outside of Japan

Nintendo will finally release the original Earthbound which was actually called Mother on the Famicom outside of Japan for the first time and will be on the Wii-U eShop. Also it will be named as Earthbound Beginnings. Cool that Non-Japanese gamers can finally play this game. BTW I know this version of the game is being released on the Wii-U which isn't a Retro console of course and doesn't fit with this forum but it's still a retro game and wanted to let some of you guys know about it.

Happy about this, but I wish there was a physical copy i could buy.

@MonsieurX: Earthbound Beginings was kind of star fox 2'd in a way. It was completely localized and translated, but never released. This isn't nessessarily indicative of Mother 3, which would require translation work, or Nintendo to not be too proud to use the translation the fans did when they wouldn't.

This is great but I've already played this game on emulator many times and have a nice repo cart for it for my NES.

Still great that others who never heard of it finally get to play it. Just hope they don't overcharge for it.

Took them long enough for me to just not care about it.
