Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines rocks

I played this about a half year ago for the first time and holy hell, is it a great game. It's one of those RPGs where the world feels dense even though it's not huge. The writing was top notch and the voice acting and characters were all compelling, too. I wish the series wasn't more or less dead right now, because I would love to see what the developers could do with modern technology. The only real issue I had was that damn sewer section. It just dragged.

What are your memories of the game? Also, bonus question: What build do you like? I went for a tanky melee character because that is almost always my first choice in games like that.

Been trying to play it, but it brings up 15mb errors due to my OS. Been trying to find tweaks to make it work.

I kind of enjoyed the first Vampire: the Masquerade on PC.

I used this and the game runs fine after installing the patch.

I picked this up on retail disc really cheap a little while back because of the Deus Ex comparisons. But I never got around to actually playing it. Might move onto it once I'm done with this Max Payne binge.

They are mostly beautiful artists and the like. Seduction is their game, don't know if that is what you mean by messing with people's heads.

I can't believe this is a decade old, times fly's.

I think he might be confusing Toreadors with Malkavians (the crazy ones; if TES' Sheogorath had vampire worshippers, it would be them).

@turtlethetaffer: Vampire the masquerade was one of the greatest RPG games that ever made and it was the last game developed by Troika Games, unfortunately during these last 10 years no sequel or remake made for this game and CCP Games, the rightful IP owner of this game has closed down a fan remake of Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines - Project Vaulderie -, bringing to an end almost a year of development work.

Probably one of the most underrated RPG's ever.

I completed my first playthrough of VTMB this year and I had a good time with it. What I didn't like :

1) The stupid sewer sections. There's this one area that requires you to swim through pumps. Had to use the noclip console command to finish it.

2)The game ends abruptly with no sense of proper closure.

Great game though. You'll definitely love the Beach House section ;)

Which ending did you get?

The Anarch Ending. I had done everything so as to get the Camarilla Ending but the choice of choosing that option never appeared... It's okay, though. I Youtube'd the rest of the endings and they all sucked.
