What is the newest game console to now be considered retro?

For example is ps3 and xbox 360 retro? How about Wii or Wii U?

I think a console can only be retro if there's literally no more games being made for the platform. Wii, Wii u is definitely retro. 360 and PS3 are also retro.

Retro, I usually consider two generations behind the current. The PS3 and 360 are pretty much the latest "retro" systems.

Also, let's not forget, they came out in 2005 and 2006 respectively. That's a very long time indeed.

15-20 years is usually the time frame people consider for something to be considered retro. Technically that would include PS3 and 360 but the games for those consoles were still being released several years after the consoles initial release date so I personally wouldn't consider them retro quite yet.

I would agree with what others are saying, 2 maybe 3 generations behind and I would call it retro.
