I don't know what is up with colors, maybe shading, but Forza reminds me of legos. If this is their approach on photorealism, one that took them 7 years, they have royally failed. Then again, i wouldn't expect anything more when its made for Gamepass.

Gran Turismo 7 is the clear winner, which everyone already knew. It's just nice to see that fact reported by a reputable, unbiased source.

Personally I prefer the Forza Motorsport games over the Gran Turismo games. Something about the GT games just kind of doesn’t click with me and I just end up dropping out of them. Not so with FM though. Just always have a great time playing them. The new FM is still a fantastic looking game, certainly good enough for me to keep playing and enjoying it.

You know Microsoft doesnt shared sales data. But, more importantly, they haven't shared player count either because it bombed.

It released in October and, it was the 17th best selling game that month in the US.

GT7, on the other hand, launched at no. 2 behind Elden Ring in the US. It was the 13th best selling game YTD in 2022 in the US and the 10th best in Europe. In terms of 2023, it was a top 20 best selling game in the US in both August and, September.

So yeah, ... the trifecta.

Plus I don't trust John lineman o4 the df crew at all when it comes to these things, they are a paid publication and the facts are that they are paid from clicks, and sponsorship ads, which is heavily tilted in favor of Playstation. Frankly, DF isn't big enough as a channel to not shill...they have no choice but put out these click bait videos in favor of Sony. In reality, they know that 12 tflop >>> 9 tflop oc to 10.28, it's not even close.

Is GT on PC?

It was listed on Nvidia GeForce leak indicating GT7 will come to PC at some point. Rumors suggest GT7 will likely come in Summer/Fall of 2024.

If you really want something closer to GT, Assetto Corsa is as close to GT as we'll ever gonna get...until GT7 comes to PC that is.

Looking at the review above, i find it funny how some are still in denial about MS exclusives seeing a massive downgrade in quality ever since their titles began to be made for gamepass in mind. I holy shit, i wasn't following Forza because its a racing game, and i couldn't give a damn about racing titles, but hearing him point out THIS MANY issues, and the fact that its a massive downgrade from previous titles is real something.

GT7, a cross gen title sharing with PS4 slapped Forza "build from the ground up" motorsport lmao. how can a release be this mediocre its incredible. Xbox really needs to figure out an improvement process with their internal teams how can most of xbox first party studio releases ended up underwhelming in many departments.

Also player engagements remained high for GT7 confirmed by the studio head.

Every time i come by this thread, i feel bad, and feel the pain of our lemmings. Its just such a shame if you ask me.

The problem with what you said is, that GT7 took WAY longer, 9 years and only looks as good as Forza Motorsport 7 maxed on the PC. FM looks the same, but at least that wasn't designed around the Jag CPU. Looks like GT7 "royally failed" too.

I will say that GT has the better lighting engine, but it always has. Even in the old games it was the lighting engine which made it visually stand out.

DF are Sony shills so not surprised by the result.

I was completely underwhelmed with the visual fidelity of Forza Motorsport 8, even with the monster RTX 4090.

All maxed out and honestly didn't look impressive. Nor did it perform particularly well lol.

Of course GT7 is better in almost every single way. A cross-gen game beat the shit out of a next gen game which was built from the "ground up" for Xbox Series.

Once again, I don't even like racing sims but this is pretty amusing. GT7 was a crossgen game while Forza was the "next-gen experience", and it still got left in the dust.
