Poll Do you use Game Pass? (74 votes)
GP, the topic that never goes away, lol.
Don't use it, personally, as I prefer to own my games. But I won't knock anyone that likes it. Just curious how many here on SW use it.
Happy Friday, y'all.

Yes, absolutely. Terrific value. Has allowed me to try out numerous games without the risk of purchase.
Why? It offers nothing. In fact, its so bad that you get more entertainment watching random crap on youtube over playing what's on the shovelware pass.
No, I just buy what I want and play on my own time. I never rented anything in the 90's either.
I hear ya.
But when I was a kid, renting games was the shizz.

Are there prizes awarded if you never rented a game?
IDK, is there one for renting a game?
I rented games all the time back in the day. It was like $5, give or take, for three days. GP is a MUCH better value. I still bought games back then and I still buy games now.
I’ve had Game Pass Ultimate since day 1. I use it mostly for the kids games like all the Paw Patrol games and stuff like that my kids play from time to time. I buy all the first party games on Xbox and PC for the most part.

Nope! So, what is the source of this pride for not renting?🙃
Pride? lol. It's my preference - "I just buy what I want and play on my own time."
I've had Game Pass multiple times on $1 discounts before, and it's the same thing as Block Buster in the sense where I'm left staring at stuff I don't have any interest in trying out.

So, after all of this you still rent games. 🤷🏽♂️
Buying games, renting games, borrowing games are all different means of acquiring games. Not sure why this is now such a sticky topic.

No need to get triggered.🙃
No. I don't like the value proposition. It sounds nice initially but it has a strong whiff of "you will own nothing and like it". Yes yes I know i don't own my games but, at least with the 1 time fee, I know I can access it whenever I want. I could pay 1000s into Gamepass then, if I ever decide to cancel, I am left with nothing.
I also really really don't like Games as a service. Games are toys. They should be developed and sold as such.
So I have no interest in the service.
I do not... I don't have the time to make it worth my while. Getting games on the cheap is what works for me atm. I'm glad Gamepass exists though. More accessible ways to game is good for gamers. I do not care about how corporations spend their money. Give us all the games in ways we can consume them...

Huh? Maybe you need to reread the topic, teach, because the topic is about if you use game pass. I don't; it's not for me. With that said, there are millions that do find use from it, which I get.
Just saying, but there are much better takers here than me if you want to troll.

Heh, eeeeasy there, dude. I'm not the one going around asking what is the reward for not renting games, and then accusing another of having pride in not renting when dude was giving a simple statement of preference.
You're so freaking sensitive, lol
Yes, but I think I'm dropping from Ultimate to Standard. Don't play online atm with Xbox.
Cost difference?
But there seems to be plenty of deals for Ultimate..guess I'll stick with that..lol

$31.69 for 3 months.
I haven't yet, I was planning to use my free trial when there was a big game I wanted to burn through. First I thought maybe the Halo Infinite campaign, and then Starfield, but I have cooled on these and I think I will wait for something else. Maybe the Kojima game because I am interested in that.

I'd get use out of 10.99/month... I don't online mp game, but I would likely need Gamepass on PC going forward.

Seems more like you are the one being sensitive. I am not surprised.😂

It was a success and it delivered. 🙃

Yeah, I mean, if you're into burning through games quickly, the service definitely can be appealing.

Ooh boy, okay dude. Okay.
I feel this as a metaphor really sums up opposing attitudes about Game Pass, which haters love to call "Welfare Pass":
Never have and never will. I've said it a million times, I like to buy my games and play them at my leisure.
Pedro's not taking this thread very well 🤣
Really? Seems like I got your kind on the defense.🤭
@Pedro: Renegade posted his point of view, you got triggered by it and responded in a narky way.
You seem to get upset when people buy their games, and buy them physically too (but that's another story for another day)
It's ok Pedro, people are allowed to game differently to you.
Have a nice day 😎
As of now, I'm gonna go with a no. I've unsubscribed last month (2 months actually) cause I was barely using Game Pass and only use it on the number of indie games that looks interesting. I've use it to play Ravenlok, like it enough to buy it on PC and play it at anytime.
Game Pass has it's place, its good to test out a game you aren't sure if you'll like it without paying full price. Truth be told, there's nothing I want to play on Game Pass. Everything is barebone on my end, can't speak for everyone else. Great for PC but I have just too many games I have yet to play so no point of me subbing to it.
Oh yeah, Pedro really isn't taking this lightly either. Oh well🤷♂️
@Pedro: lol, okay bud. just trying to ease your stress a bit.
That projection stuff is always a good read.🤭

I am taking this seriously?😮
