Day one for PS5 pro and I highly doubt Xbox will compete for the power title mid gen because the series S is going to hold it back and they would have to stop supporting that console after promising it wouldn't get all next gen games. Seeing as though like 70 to 80 percent of people on Xbox have the S that would be financial suicide. They shot themselves in the foot trying to get the price down by skimping on power and longevity.
At some point in time I either expect MS to leave the hardware side of things for Xbox or to release an upgradeable console like a PC that has complete libraries for both PC and Xbox.
SONY might eventually get to that point as well, but I feel as though they are at least still one more generation away from considering the changes where as I almost expect MS's next console to be a hybrid PC.
It is highly likely that MS will launch its own PC launcher that supports PC games like Steam and is integrated with Ganepass. Honestly I, kind of surprised they haven't already done that or we haven't heard any leaks. It's only a matter of time.
When that happens I'll actually have a reason to get another Xbox, but until then it's just PS5 Pro and Switch 2.
Hell, I wouldn't even be surprised if MS's next console was a handheld hybrid with a lot more power while docked, that way they could incorporate melding the two more seamlessly like a Steam Deck or ROG Ally. However it's a lot more likely they will just sell a handheld device like SONY... but if they're smart it won't need the Xbox but can sync with it.
Of course I'm just guessing on these things, but it's the direction the industry is heading, and I doubt it would be all that difficult for MS to make their own launcher and it should be easy to get support.
