Last of Us 2 - Inside the Gameplay video!

Damn, this game is gonna be intense. I don't know if I can handle it! But yes, this game contains actual gameplay, not just cut scenes. What do you think, SW? Does it look like an evolution of the previous game, or more of the same? It does look very familiar, but grittier. Hopefully the AI is smart.

It's a meh for me. I'm gonna probably play it when it gets "remastered" for the PS5 and is dirt cheap.

edit: after watching the whole thing, damn, gameplay looks better than in the original, and this most likely have the best and most realistic animations of any games ever made.

This video is great and get’s me more interest. I like that there is more stealth things to do, I always choose stealth when a game gives you the option. I just find it more fun than just running in shooting the place up. Day one purchase for me :)

reminds me of Breath of the Wild, when they announced that Link would have a jump button. I remember thinking how liberating that was lol.

@SolidGame_basic: I am so genuinely confuddled by the lack of a jump button in a game. Still, that has to be the dumbest shit i've heard in a while. Ellie is more nimble than Joel, hence we've added the ability to jump... Riiiiighto.

You could jump off edges if you pressed X, but you couldn't jump at will like you normally could in other games like Uncharted

Looks like an evolution over the original TLOU. The prone button and laying on your back is especially a game changer.

I don’t like that forced SJW bs, but this game will probably become the fastest selling PS4 exclusive in 24 hours. It’ll be great to watch the meltdown in System Wars.

Mafia 2 is not among my fav games at all but i still consider it far better than last of us and uncharted. beside it was trailer, not gameplay trailer as every gameplay in last of us 2 i have seen play itself.

Kinda confident that ND will finally have their gameplay breakthrough.

I'm enjoying Mafia 2 at the moment.

And yeah people are delusional if they think the gameplay in that E3 2018 gameplay trailer wasn't scripted (just like how the original Last Of Us E3 gameplay footage was).

Last of Us 2 has a visual downgrade? That is absurd. Sony would never show gameplay and graphics that doesn't exist in the final game. 🤣

Visually it's one of the most impressive games I've seen but knowing what I know I just can't buy it.

While none of these elements are even original in the slightest. I am still happy to hear they are in the game.

That said, we as players will NEVER feel that true survival need Ellie does. Us players not only know we are playing a game. But even failure isnt too bad. As failure just means a reload to the latest save. Which is probably just about 2 min away.

Odds are, I feel a greater urgency and need to survive while playing something like Ancient Domains of Mystery or Neo Scavanger, than I would do playing this.

You also have to consider how well and frequently the mechanics will be executed. Did anyone here remember how Awesome Asscreed looked when they talked about the gameplay?

thats funny because that is gameplay and if it looks like its not then naughty dog is doing something right. because most of that was a kill animation during game play. but it is game play. just because its not on xbox doesn't mean its crap. if this was for xbox you be hyped about it and use it to defend xbox.

um they played the same footage from the e3 video. it was not scripted because i seen videos the same area but played out differently from different people. it was behind close doors that e3. but of course the video was scripted they all are to take bits and pieces from the demo because it was a video showing the game. but that same video was the same demo people got to play behind close doors.

deluded how they were playing the game. key world playing. your deluded thinking that is not gameplay. they also said that was a early build of the game and didn't want to give out that demo when it was delayed. and i played the first one and that e3 gamplay of the first one is very close. yes they moved the camera a few times in the video but if you played a naughty dog game you realized there gameplay is what you see in the trailers. uncharted plays like uncharted you see in the e3 demos. that is why i like naughty dog because they stay true when revealing a game. if it is scripted it still comes out being that way in the end. i can link other last of us 2 gameplay videos to see for your self but you would still deny it.

Annnnd this game has horses. Do these horses also have the ability to shrink their balls too? Sony just copied what RDR 2 did and added horses both in LoU 2 and GoT. The first game didn't have horses and also I think the director or one of the dev said that they were inspired by RDR 2. So, I would assume that adding horses were one of those "inspirations".
