A bunch of cool multiplats are coming out, and I was just curious to know where people who own gaming PCs are going to get their games. I know it's several months before we will be able to check out comparison videos etc., but do you see yourself getting everything on one particular platform?

Graphics aside, I was thinking that if you had a PS4 and a Vita, it would be neat to be able to play your games via remote play when you weren't at home, and that might be worth the graphical tradeoff.

What do you plan on doing?

I don't care for good multiplats. As long they are released on consoles I see no reason to whine.

PC. I'll have my PS4 for the better Sony exclusives but multiplats are best played on the PC.

Multiplates: PC as always unless a game is an unoptimized port on PC. PS4 and Wii U for consoles exclusives only.

PC.

I don't have any devices that are 720p... except maybe my phone. My monitor is 1440p, an unsupported resolution on consoles, and I'll be playing ALL my games at 60 FPS. No compromises.

PLus, it looks like some multiplats are starting to warm up to the rift.

I would never buy a console for multi-plats. They are always inferior on those platforms, from lower quality graphics, to lower performance, to forced gamepad/motion controls use to lack of mods. Deifnitely not worth it.

For exclusives? Maybe. In like 3 years when there ar emore than a couple.

All multiplats on the PC... if I end up getting a PS4 (or any other console), it'll be some 3 years after its release.

Still on the PC. I'm going to wait at least until Infamous comes out to get a PS4 because none of the launch games interest me, and even if/when I do get one I don't know where I'll play most of my games, I don't see why I'd pay £40 for it on PS4 if I can buy it for £20 on PC, even if the PS4 version looks slightly better (which it probably wont)

Well, my GTX 560 does fine on the games I have now, like Skyrim, Just Cause 2 , etc., but the truth is . . .

I'd have to spend $500 at least, to upgrade my processor and gpu, to get it  to PS4 levels, so this coming generation, it looks like I'm going with PS4, and maybe a few PC games.

Multiplats will always be best on PC for the options more than anything and the ability to tweak the game how you like

I'll be using the PS4 for anything I can't get on PC

PC of course. There's no reason to get multiplats on consoles.

The only thing that floats the boat for consoles is exclusives.

A: i be getting ps4

B: getting AMD new line up of 8000's cards

depending who can run multiplats compare to my 6870 is the winner.  IF ps4 wins then i most likely be going back to PC when i do upgrade my PC

I always buy multiplats on the PC because they cost less, run better, and will be backwards compatible with the next gen.

Nobody talks about it, but when I upgrade my PC, even if I upgrade my OS, nearly all of my games will still work. It's the ultimate system in terms of BC.

You can still get them to run. It just takes work. There are some games from the XP 32 bit era that are hard to get running as well, due to the DRM that they came with. Still, those games are very old now. I wouldn't really expect the games I purchase today to still be easy to run 25 years from now, either. They are going to be easy to run for a whole lot longer than any console game you purchase today will be, though.

My PS4 will be for exclusives only unless my kids want a game for the PS4 that isn't an exclusive and something I don't want also. All multiplats that I care to play will once again be bought on PC. The PS4 is inferior to my PC, so there would be no reason for me to get multiplats on the PS4 (excluding what I just said about my kids).

What do you make of the claims that Watch Dogs is going to have a superior draw distance with more pedestrians and cars on PS4? I read something about it, but I wonder if they meant respective to the Xbox One. Is it possible that the draw distance will be superior on the PS4 than it will on PC? That doesn't sound likely, but I was wondering. Is the DDR5 all that?

PC all the way. Spending money on a console could be used for a good upgrade for most people I'm guessing. My PC is a gaming set up, media server, media player, and games are most always better on pc compared to their console counterpart. Mods are nice, though not a huge deal. One thing I love on pc though is trainers. It's nice to break games from time to time to play how I want to play.

Unless Ubisoft is just trying to create a bad experience for PC players, things like draw distance will be adjustable settings, and if your PC can handle it, you should be able to set the draw distance above what the PS4 is capable of.

I have a better PC than the PS4 and i will be playing at 1440p. Its nice to know that i can defiantly play these games in the future aswell. Next consoles might not be BC again. PS4 will use for exclusives.

I'm getting everything. I even have a Wii U - not that I've used it to play any games since ZombiiU. But yeah, I have a X1 preordered. I'm more excited for the PS4, but I'm still pretty stoked about trying the new Xbox too.

Seeing how i got my first killer gaming rig, i'm gonna be getting most of my multiplats on PC through Steam if i can.

my PS4 will be for Sony exclusives and probably EA games.

I say EA games because Origin is a massive pain in the @ss over here in Saudi and the digital version is actually more expensive then buying the hard copy disc from a store. and the stores here already have a mark up higher then what you get in the US.

If I get a job by then, I plan on Buying a PS4 and building a new PC probably shortly after the various consoles launch and playing my multiplats on that.

I usually get my Multiplats from Sony Consoles.

My Nintendo and Xbox Devices are for Exclusives (or in the 360's case, cheaper Used Games).

Ill stick with my pc since most multiplats are plagued with issues or just not as good prior to modding, although I like your point about the vita but I don't want to buy one myself.

If a game is on PC then 99.9999% chance I'll buy it on PC.

I'd only be inclined to buy a multiplat on a console if I had enough friends who were also going to buy it there, or if for whatever reason it has more features on consoles that I actually want.

For FPS games? PC, of course. I like mouse and keyboard with FPS games. I bought a keyboard converter for my PS3 so I can play FPS games with mouse and keyboard. It'll be the same with the PS4 unless developers add the support natively.

Ill continue to buy them for PC. The only multiplats ill buy on PS4 are either games not coming to PC, or games that play much better with a controller.
