Good to see. Looking forward to grabbing it on release. Found it for $60, which is nice.

Not gonna look at videos at this point. Played the demo and loved it. For the last couple of days me and my brother have been saying the Ganados catchphrases every time we see each other.

Today someone called me a Console Ganado, and that was more insulting that i could've imagined.

I was right. I knew that this game would get 10/10 from Gamespot. Day one.

I guess I'm not a RE4 guy. The colour palette is as unpleasant as the original and so is the gameplay. Meh.

Question: Can you hide Ashley in a dumpster? I would like to leave her in there permanently.🙃

@R4gn4r0k: RE8 was decent, nothing special. Nothing to do with werewolves. Just the gameplay/story itself.

10/10 Gamespot, 10/10 IGN and 93MC. LFG. RE4 will probably be GOTY this year.

It's going to be way more fun than RE8.

I also think it's really lame to do remakes and sell them for 60 bucks, but as long as Capcom themselves can't provide fun RE games, I'll take their remakes as I can't play "new" and good RE stuff any other way.

Replayed through the original last night and going in blind for the remake. I haven't seen any gameplay whatsoever so here's hoping to be surprised.

@Mozelleple112: Remakes and Remasters cant win GotY, they arent eligible. There was talks about giving them a seperate award, but thatd be stupid. Plus, Metroid Prime Remastered would destroy RE4 Remake.

I have been calling it this game is major improvement over original in every way.

better shooting, you can movie while shoot, no more QTE, controls are less clunkier.

this time it looks like its good action game.

You haven't played or heard much about the original? A game that's been around for 18 years? A game that has been ported to every system possible since the GC/PS2 days? A game that everyone has something to say about and many consider one of the best games of all time or atleast one of the best RE games of all time?

@ghosts4ever: lmao, it's literally the same game with a few cosmetic changes, and smarter AI. What's wrong with QTE? I loved the QTE in re4, it was amazing.

I played some RE games many years ago, I don't recall the story and I haven't played all of them.

I suppose its a combination of not remembering and not playing, which means I can play the game with fresh eyes and not nostalgia.

@tdkmillsy: Game is amazing. I remember first time playing it back in the day and letting every enemy kill me so I could see the death scene.

@templecow90999: Yeah, i actually still love 3 though, its my favorite to speed run through with upgrades.

I don't think it's a bad game but it didn't make me think "I'd rather play this over the original"

I really wish Capcom would throw the original RE1, 2, and 3 in a bundle and slap a $30 price tag on it so those games can be played on modern consoles.

Just started The Last of us, so will play it after that. Too many games to play.

I do appreciate the QoL improvements to REmake4. Especially the use of the d-pad to select weapons and grenades instead of another way to move the camera; this was one of the main gripes I hold with the original....having the consistently go into the inventory broke up the pacing of the action far too much. Nice to have a much better flow to the combat.

......and man, they really jacked up the enemy's aggression factor. Much faster, in your face, and in larger groups....undoubtedly because you can now move and shoot.

@mesome713: Metroid Prime would even come close. RE4 has it pretty much on lock down.

Remakes are eligable to win GOTYs, remasters are not. Look at Resident Evil 2 (2019) and Final Fantasy VII (2020) though they did not win many, they won a few and got nominated a lot.

On the other hand look at The Last of Us remastered (2014 on PS4) it would have won hundreds of GOTYs in 2014 if it was eligable.

Though it would definitely take a lot for a remake to be GOTY, it is possible. RE4 remake might be that one.

He is wearing a brown jacket in a brown environment. Genuinely had to watch the video three times to even spot Leon, so its not surprising that the ai couldn't spot him either.
