Personally I'd prefer everyone just got it for nothing but I guess I can see the validity in not doling it out to people who never payed for the game to begin with.... Well, those who are loaning the game, right?

A Bethesda mod on discord said they are looking into it. I expect the issue to be resolved quickly

Welp. That was a short-lived issue. Playstation 5 remains to be the best console for games. Hope Phil and Todd got feather dusters to brush their dirty knees off

This is so stupid that they actually have a separate SKU (I'm assuming that is what happened here, or something similar) for a single product version.

Because why? You got a free version? They actually need to keep track of that or keep the "free users" segregated from the "paid users"? Not really sure what the logic is here because I find it kind of baffling.

Oh don't worry, the update broke the game on PC. We will fix Bethesda's mess [again] though, so no worries.

Fallout... Nor TV in general, have been off My radar for years. I don't watch TV shows at all and I shelved fallout back in the last generation.

Still, they adapted the game to TV so well it was impossible after watching those 8 episodes to not want to roam the wasteland listening to that awesome fallout music and playing around... Call me simple! It worked! The TV show was awesome.

It’s about time they fixed it. I didn’t have to buy it because I already bought it on disk for the ps4 when it 1st came out. It was just a pain to have to install the disk every time I wanted to play the ps5 version.

In other words, Sony makes their gamers pay for next gen upgrades or double dip on re-releases because they're cheap-ass motherfuckers that want to suck the life-force out of their most loyal fans.

Even Microsoft bypassed this arbitrary barrier Sony pretends to have no choice over as a lame excuse to charge gamers $10 more for their full price AAA games and next gen upgrades.

Another Sony fumble. Xbox has the Fallout games on GP and the “next gen” update is there too. No upgrade fee necessary. Oh, and Fallout 3 and New Vegas have FPS Boost, PlayStation doesn’t. Once again, Xbox gets the best versions, best backwards compatibility. “But…but…Sony sells more consoles!”

Worked for a lot of people. I still find it a bit weird to play an old ass game like F4 when one could've been doing that for several years, but didn't. Now when there's a tv series, it's fun again though? I don't know, I don't get it.

Or when FromSoftware announced they're working on DLC for Elden Ring, and people started playing ER again en masse. Like.. why? The new stuff isn't there yet.

In my case, I've only jumped into fallout 76 because it's the only fallout game I don't have several hundred hours invested in. It was a "new" fallout game for me when I booted it up last week.

@mrbojangles25: I haven't really went back to Fallout 4 as I bailed out of the series and its why I never pay attention towards Fallout 76. I'll reinstalled Fallout 4 this weekend and see what the fuse is all about on the update.

surprised only the base game is available on gamepass. goty edition is an extra £34.99 😬

looked on amazon for it on ps4 and apparently i bought the goty version in 2018 for £18.99. just found it in a cupboard still in plastic wrap lol. have no recollection of buying it. got the base game too but since ive got the expansions looks like if i do give it another try it'll be on playstation.

£34.99 for a digital copy of a sept 2017 expansion with 3 workshops and 3 dlcs is pricey, considering it was £19 back in 2018 and we're now in april 24
