It will be interesting to see if the PS version ends up selling more than the Xbone version did. Xbox fans hyped this game up as a killer app for the Xbone but when the time to vote with their wallet came they refused to buy it.

Please no. One of the worst games i've played during the 8th gen.

Next thing you know Playstation fans will be putting it in the GOTY discussion even though it came out years ago.

If Playstation fans can hype GOTY twice for Demon's Souls then I suspect they'll do it for other re-released games as well.

One of my favorite games of the generation. Much better then Spiderman.

Hope it gets a sequel.

I believe the original Sunset Overdrive's publishing rights are still with MS so it would have to be a sequel. Unless MS decides to be nice to Sony and allow the original game to go to playstation.

I bought it for Xbox One and thought it was an ok game. Still haven’t actually finished it yet though.

Tried it on gamepass and never got far. I hope they don't waste resources on a sequel.

It is easily the thought that consumes my waking hours most.

One of my first physical games I got as a gift for X1. Got about maybe a quarter of the way through but just couldn't get back into it. I know many though that love the game.

Also if they do make a sequel it should most certainly sell more then the first game. Firstly the first game came out on a system that was much maligned out of the gate. Secondly the Insomniac name holds much more value now after the success of their Spider-Man games.

@NathanDrakeSwag: I played it briefly but couldn't get into it when I play as a male with bad humor. When the PC version came to Steam, I gave it a second chance playing as female and the humor on the girl really works well...but never got that far. I need to reinstall Sunset Overdrive and finish it for good.

Anyway, Sunset Overdrive Remaster could easily go to PS+ as it's already free on GP and dirty cheap to buy on Steam for that matter. I'd be really shock if Sony charges $70 and unless you packing with real content.

Pretty much this. Insomniac is very busy with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and the upcoming Spider-Man PS5, can't really see them going for a Sunset Overdrive sequel, even if MS offer a deal with Sony. And not to mention, Insomniac Games said they are working a brand new IP game so a sequel is kinda out of the question.

I would love a second SO, really enjoyed the original.

I really enjoyed Sunset Overdrive but I think Insomniac can move on from the IP.

It would be more of a problem if it doesn't sell as well, considering the difference in user base.

I bought the original at full price... I have played maybe an hour of it. I liked the game for the hour I played, but other games pulled me away. I may try it again someday

The Dev that went back to Insomniac from the Xbox studio Making Perfect Dark was the creative director for Sunset Overdrive. 😆

I don't know that I'm excited for it, but maybe a good addition to PS Plus or PS Now?

I played it on Xbox when it came out and it was fine. Good, not great game. Never finished it, unfortunately. I've heard the PC version is better. Maybe if that version came to PS I might give it another go.

@regnaston: I thought the arrangement between Insomniac and MS required Insomniac retain IP control, now Sony owns Insomniac

Yeah it'll be a possible sequel, Sony now owns the IP, MS still owns the publishing rights for the released game.

Insomniac negotiated with both Sony and MS about the game, Sony wanted the IP ownership, MS let Insomniac have it so they went with MS, now Sony owns it anyway

Most us got it free with console and the aftermarket on used keys sites had them for pennies. Nice try kid.

I REALLY hope they don't make a sequel and instead focus on a new IP. I don't want a new infamous from sucker punch either.

I enjoyed sunset overdrive thought it was refreshing sunset 2 would be great on ps5.

The Sunset Overdrive bundle was sold in very limited quantities. It was the AC Unity bundle that they overshipped that year.

If Sunset Overdrive 2 comes out as a PlayStation exclusive, I'll expect major flip flopping. Microsoft fans who hyped this game up for the Xbox One will claim it's trash now. Sony fans calling it trash when it was exclusive to the Xbox One will claim it's godtier. I can't wait for the flip flopping to begin.

Think Sunset Overdrive was catalyst for Spiderman with how much fun the traversal system was in Sunset Overdrive. Figure the growth the studio had since SO, Sunset Overdrive 2 could be a great game. Plus Chaos Squad Co-op is a lot of fun. MS just faltered massively with Xbox one where Sunset Overdrive had no chance for mass appeal.

I enjoyed Sunset Overdrive when I played it on gamepass. I hope Sony makes a sequel I found the gameplay style to be a faster-paced Ratchet & Clank which I love.

I was just playing it again after a LONG hiatus... game play is fun, but it is repetitive. Something I can pick up play for an hour per day max

@NathanDrakeSwag: Good for Sony. Sunset Overdrive was a good game. IMO it is the best game Insomniac Games have made to date.

Sony is so desperate for Xbox games they want to reboot a failed franchise. Really makes you think Bethesda deal has them shook.

So try hard but when I got around to playing it, it's incredibly dated. Couldn't play it for long. Everything about it screams marketing. Design by committee. There's no passion.

I remember when it came out it looked really fun, but I lost interest long ago. It came to GP and I haven't bothered yet. I find it realllyyy hard to believe it's a better game than Ratchet and Clank, to some of the comments above. Curious why you argue that ("because it's on xbox" is not an answer :-p)

Really hoping for a sequel, the first was great.

Would be weird for a remaster to appear on PS4 & PS5 when the original was on Xbox & PC.
