Did it sell the most units in November?

Yes or no?

I said nothing about November. I posted a quote from your link.

"Nintendo Switch, for now, is holding on as the best-selling console in units sold."

You stated "Except it wasn't." to the quote. 🤷🏽‍♂️

The article mentions November and clearly mentions the PS5 was number one in both " DOLLARS AND UNITS SOLD". The Switch wasn't the best selling console in November. As per the TC's claim it isn't dominating NA anymore.

@Nonstop-Madness: “Top 20”? Considering Sony has everything riding on sales of their 1st person exclusives, I don’t think top 20 cuts it for them.

The top 20 is literally just:

- Nintendo and, PlayStation games

- Sports games

- COD, Minecraft, Elden Ring, and new releases.

(It was a top 10 game on PlayStation platforms in November.)

----

For context, HZD ended up selling over 20M+ units and, it didn't even make the top 20 in Nov 2017 or, the top 10 in NPD YTD in 2017. HFW on the other hand is 8th NPD YTD as of November 2022 and, charted top 20 in November.

It sold much more in its first year than the first installment; that's a lot more revenue and profit.

Just let him have his cake, Pedro. I know sales aren't that important to you or me, but they are to him. Just let him enjoy the month of November and call it a day.

You quoted a link without context 🤣.

That's something you do often though.

I'm just stating basic facts. The days of the Switch being No 1 in units sold month to month is most likely done.

I'm saying it's irrelevant to both my and the TC's claim.

The article I linked clearly shows the Switch is no longer dominating as the last month on record it was not number 1 in units sold. Which was contrary to the claim made by the TC.

It was no 1 because of supply shortages. Which anyone with a basic understanding of the industry already knew.

Non sequitur. What does that has to do with the topic at hand?

This topic is about Nintendo, is it not? I’m saying it’s a console for children. I’ve owned one and after realizing all the games are the same I played when I was a child, I sold it.

I don't give a flying **** about Sony and their corrupt business tactics and awful system that is the PS5 (seriously probably the worst system of all time). But Nintendo has somehow pushed themselves into a market where they don't belong.

The Switch is a piece of cheap shit, it's a handheld and it shouldn't be allowed in the home console market being that weak for that price. Handhelds always outsell consoles unless it's a Sony unit.

There are some triggered cows here. All because the Switch is the best selling console, and was the best selling console of 2022 as well. Why do they seem to have an issue with that statistic?

I would need a motive to damage control.

They dominated sales due to a supply shortage and even with that they were behind dollar sales, total revenue and the one month the supply shortage is over they lose in units.

I'm just stating facts 🤷. Nintendo has the superior business model I wish them the best but I'm not going to ignore the obvious.

PS5 cost more than Switch by $100 -$200. You mentioning dollar sales is your way of damage controlling the fact that the Switch dominated in sales last year.

No it's just mentioning facts. The Switch won " unit sales" due to a supply shortage. It lost just about every other category including software revenue.

They lost all areas with the exception of " unit sales".

And they even lost that at the end of the year. How is that dominating?

So cows are mad that even though the Switch was held back last year due to chip shortages, it still beat out Xbox and PS5? Wow, I don't see what the issue is.

Among the consoles, The Switch sold the most and dominated last year. This is undeniable.

Which isnt surprising. Using the standard a lot of cows here like to use (Metacritic), we can see that the switch had almost twice as many 80+ scoring games than The PS5. Including a vastly superior exclusive library.

Nintendo did phenomenally on the game front last year, which probably contribtued quite a bit to the massive sales the system got.

However with the switch 2 rumors floating around, it is likely sales will slow down this year year. Switch is already slowing down in sales. So the PS5 might surpass it for this year. Same with Series S/X

That is silentchief for ya. He does 8 things

  1. Misinterpret position
  2. Move the goalpost, to suit his misinterpretion
  3. Put words in others mouths and strawman them
  4. Ad Hom
  5. Cite sources that refute his own claims
  6. Rationalize when all evidence proves him wrong
  7. When called out for acting in bad faith, deflect criticism back, without any justification or context
  8. When all of the above fail and backfire miserably, don't learn anything and continue repeating the same mistakes ad nauseam.

And Software Revenue . Try again 🤣

You can't handle the fact that the Switch dominated in unit sales last year and your own link stated as such. 🤭

That is silentchief for ya. He does 8 things

  1. Misinterpret position
  2. Move the goalpost, to suit his misinterpretion
  3. Put words in others mouths and strawman them
  4. Ad Hom
  5. Cite sources that refute his own claims
  6. Rationalize when all evidence proves him wrong
  7. When called out for acting in bad faith, deflect criticism back, without any justification or context
  8. When all of the above fail and backfire miserably, don't learn anything and continue repeating the same mistakes ad nauseam.

Coming from the guy who:

1. Jumps into an argument with no prior knowledge of what it was about

2. Misinterpret's information

3. Takes things out of context and then forces you to defend that position

4. Acts like an expert in every field

5. Cites sources that won't refute or backup his own claim

6. Claims that ones position is invalid due to lack of knowledge on said subject

7. Will ignore every single source that doesn't fit his narrative

8. Repeat's ad nasioum

For your information at no point did I argue that the Switch won unit sales.

I responded to a poster who said " the Switch was dominating the world" yet he ignored the fact that it lost in total revenue ( hardware and software). And lost unit sales the moment the supply shortage was up. I said thst wasn't really dominating.

Pedro somehow thinks unit sales during supply shortage proves me wrong. I'm honestly just stating basic facts. My position is this

I'll state my position on that subject clearly so even a child could understand.

The Switch won unit sales in 2022 because the PS5 and XSX were supply constrained.

That's not what I was arguing 🤣

Let's help you with English.

He Said:

" The Switch is dominating the world"

Dominating is present tense. It means right now. Currently.

It lost the last month on record.

So yes it dominated " past tense" it isn't dominating ( present tense) which is why I said " not really "
