Spider-Man 2 open world trailer!

Damn, this looks good! The open world looks so seamless, not a loading screen in sight! And dem graphics, wow… anyone else pumped for Spider-Man 2?

Looks like a ps4 game from years ago. To me, gameplay wise, it looked like a 5/10, but it'll get a solid 8/10 on GS, which is much much higher than Starfield could ever dream of.

Send me a free code for the game, and i will never bother even installing the game. This is my excitement for this spiderman, and all future superhero titles that sony is most likely gonna be pumping.

It'll get about an 85. Even if the game is technically better, its Spiderman, you're doing EXACTLY what you've done in the previous two titles. When MM came out, it was pretty obvious that it didn't get anywhere near the amount of attention the original title got back in 2017, and has only sold well because there's was nothing but Demon's Souls, or it. Of course all the casuals got MM cuz its that or nothing for them to play on a brand new system they just purchased. Now that there is a bunch of games, especially in 2023, i wonder how this one will do.

Played through Spider-Man Remastered on the PS5 this year, excellent game. 9/10 for me. Also played through Miles Morales. Not quite as good but good nonetheless. 8/10 for me. Expecting Spider-Man 2 to be excellent as well. Should be an easy 9/10.

Looking great as expected. Insomniac is carrying the PS5 first party right now. Spiderman Remastered, Miles Morales, Rift Apart, Spiderman 2, and Wolverine. Such a great and talented studio.

Would say that Insomniac is the best developer that Sony has right now.

Not sure what hardwenzen is talking about, I clearly see a huge difference between PS4 to PS5 as this new Spider-Man game has vastly improved and I like the way both Peter & Miles can now fly through the air without bothering to swing all the time as flying just makes the traveling from city to city more easier than swinging all the time.

Its the same crap. The changes are more on the artistic side than technical side. If this was made specially for the ps5, i would expect significantly better visuals, and especially a more packed environment.

I still maintain that the first game is one of the better made games in recent memory. Just all around great performance, looked good, a well-realized world, gameplay just works great, and bug-free. Just a quality product through and through.

But this sequel just looks, I don't know...underwhelming.

I agree with Hardwenzen .. game looks good but nothing mind-blowing honestly .. just feels like "been there, done that" kind of sequel ..

Really enjoyed the first Spiderman and was looking forward to the 2nd.

But its set it New York AGAIN.

Lazy development really, could have easily been an expansion.

Here we go again. Delusional, and the 7/10 hurts so much you had to find some irrelevant 9/10 as your avatar. Should have used the 4/10 from Redfall, and maybe even play the game a bit, its kinda cringe seeing 8 players online in a game that came out just a few months ago rofl.

Miles Morales was just an extension of original Spiderman. This new one is whole new level. I mean, city looks awesome, much more alive, dense and detailed. Also, that fast travel between characters really is fast travel. LOL

But i'm expecting it will be rated like between 80-85. Everything above would be surprise

It looks good. I'm probably not getting it day one, but I'll eventually buy it since I really liked the first game (it easily had my favorite interpretation of Spider-Man/Peter Parker since Spider-Man the Animated Series).

Probably 2-3 years. I'll wait for that since my backlog is miles long, and I don't really like playing games at 30 fps.

The game has 60fps like most everything on the ps5. And why would you expect every game to take the same time to come out on pc?

Oh, you're talking about the mode you have to set that reduces resolution and settings to get a mere 60 fps? I can do that on my PC and get like over 140 fps heh. I'm going to keep saying 30 fps unless they remove "fidelity" (aka modern gen) mode.

Anyway I don't mind waiting, PC's backlog kinda destroys PS5's.

Your pc version might be ready for 2030, if it ever comes. You could be waiting for as long as you've been waiting for bloodborne to be ported on pc.

Or more realistically, as long as I "waited" for Spider-Man 1 and Miles Morales. 1-3 years.

And I quoted waited because I didn't really wait as I always had more games to play than PS4. Just like PC has more games to play than PS5.

I think it looks great graphically. the city is more full than any city I played before.

I really must get around to playing the first and MM. This also looks like a lot of fun. CP2077 is next on the agenda though for now.

On the technical side though I'll be interested to see how it compares to the original. On the surface it looks good....but not exactly a huge leap over the OG.

However, as my ongoing playthrough of Arkham City has reminded me, there is a lot to be said for sheer brute force. I wonder if people who only played the original on a base PS4 will be a lot more impressed but PS4 PRo and PC players may be a bit underwhelmed.

Apparently Spider-Man 2 has raytracing enabled on every mode, including the 4K/60 modes. Must be some lower quality raytracing plus heavy reconstructions for that 4K/60 mode.

What do you mean? RDR2 from half a decade ago has towns that are more lively.
