The greatest gaming series of all time, Metal Gear Solid

It's no contest. Each game has amazing graphics, amazing story, amazing gameplay and the best and most clever boss battles in the histroy of gaming. Metal Gear solid 4 And Metal Gear Solid Subsistance are the greatest games ever imo. You can keep your Gears of war, Zelda's, Half life's none of them touch Kojima's masterpieces.

There has never been a more cinematic, clever, well written gaming series than MGS.

I find all those franchises to be superior to MGS. And yup, I've played MGS4 :)

MGS has earned it's spot in my top series list, not only by being awesome but every single main MGS game has met my expectations and surpassed them, enjoyed all of them without any big disappointment

Realistically, a greatest game of all time list would include MGS, GTA, Mario, Zelda, Metroid, God of War, Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo, Half Life, Resident Evil, Syphon Filter, Call of Duty. So yes, MGS would definately be up there.Floppy_Jim

Resident Evil, Halo, Mario, those are my nominees.

You cant ever say 1 series...........as one genre doesnt appeal to all audiences.

The only other franchise that comes close IMO is Resident Evil. Been a long time fan of both.

I remember me and a buddy got MGS1 the day it came out and we where seriously just BLOWN AWAY. We played it all weekend and had one of the best gaming experiences of my life i must say.

MGS1 is still my fav, but i do enjoy all the games in the series.

In my top 10 for best series ever for sure.

I'm sticking with Mario is the greatest gaming series of all time. It is the oldest, most widley known, and apeals to the widest range of gamers of any game series I have ever seen. I may not like Nintendo, but I can't deny how amazing the Mario Bros. Series has been.
