95% of the gaming population don't care about Nvidia, and about 2% of that 5% will be the only ones wasting money on these cards lol.

I'll be happy with my $399 digital PS5 which includes a $60 controller. I don't worry about spending the $40 on PS Plus every year since I don't buy many games and the ones that come with PS Plus are worth the $40 spent. No way am I gonna spend any more than that on just a GPU.

Meh. PCs are always going to be more powerful and I’m fine with that. If I wasn’t then I’d just become a PC gamer instead. 🤷‍♂️

Sure, PC GPUs have always been more powerful. But multiple times at console launches, we’ve seen console with very competent graphics capabilities.

What we’ve NEVER seen is a gap this big. Digital Foundry stayed that the Series X Gears 5 bench was falling short of the RTX 2080 in performance. The Series X chip says “8K” on it while the RTX 2080 isn’t a 4K/60 card...

Now we have the RTX 3080 launching in a couple of weeks and it is 60%-90% faster than the RTX 2080. The RTX 3070 is faster than the RTX 2080Ti which was around 35%-45% faster than the RTX 2080. So it’s probably safe to assume the RTX 3060 will be comparable/faster than the RTX 2080 as well, and probably for around $300. So we’re looking at 7 cards being faster than the Series X before it launches.

TLDR: The most powerful console ever made is further behind PC tech than we’ve ever seen. And the PS5? Why even bother launching that thing? These consoles aren’t 4K/60 machines let alone... 8K lol.

@goldenelementxl: We likely won't see the RTX 3060 till early January but no big deal as its only 1-2 months after the PS5 and Series X launch. Plus the RTX 3050 should release in Febuary and comparable/faster than the RTX 2070 which is comparable to the PS5s GPU. This isn't even factoring the performance advantage of DLSS.

Do you think the average consumer who buys PS4 or Switch really going to care about that? They are going to see how great PS5/XSX games look and will be content with that. I mean, millions of people are content with Switch's Xbox 360 graphics lol.

It just how things are,even if the xbox had a 3090RTX you probably could use 2 on SLI,what really matter is what you get for the price you get it.

Most gamers on PC are the same,which is why the 3060 is destine to rule over any other model on that 3000 series just as it was with the 2060,1060 and so on,which isn't a bad thing either.

An RTX2080ti used to be top of the line 2 years ago.

And now you get that kind of power in a mid range card.

So yeah, loads of PC gamers will own top of the line cards, they just need to wait until it has become affordable for everyone.

so tell me what game is better looking than the ps5 games that they showed so far? your 12 teraflop machine has nothing to show that 12 teraflop. not one. zero heck only one game has been shown on the series x other than gear 5 is heaven.
