What April game(s) are you most looking forward to?

Oooh, April is not too terrible. I'm looking forward to seeing how Nier Replicant and Returnal do in the reviews. Housemarque has been pretty consistent with quality of titles, even if they weren't AAA level production. I'm expecting a similar thing here, fun gameplay, but maybe so so presentation. We'll see. Nier Replicant didn't look that great to me unfortunately. Hoping I'm wrong on that one. And curiously, I see that Judgement is making its way over to next gen and PC. While I'm tired out on Yakuza titles at the moment, that will probably be a bargain bin pick up in the future. How about you, SW? What April game(s) are you most looking forward to?

Outriders and Nier look interesting, but I am unlikely to buy them at launch, if at all. Humankind, AKA Sega & Amplitude's answer to Civilization, look VERY interesting, just because it takes some balls to take on Firaxis and their 25-year legacy.

But the one game I'm probably most intrigued by and most likely to buy isn't on your list; the devs of Praey for the Gods just recently announced that their game is coming out of Early Access in mid to late April. Supposedly it's like a mix of crafting survival game and Shadow of the Colossus. Very much looking forward to the reviews for that.

Returnal if the reviews are good. If outriders isn't as messy as the demo was, and it has a good endgame, i might be interested.

I'll try outriders on gamepass and pick up judgement.

• I'll add Oddworld Soulstorm to my PS5 game collection due to PS+ and will try it once I get the console in 2022-2023
• I'll get Nier Replicant on pc or wait for it to go to game pass to give it a go like I did with Automata
• I may check out Humankind as I like 4x games and it looks like nice competition to the Civilization games
• I may check out Praey for the Gods which isn't on your list but looks really interesting

Going to keep an eye on Humankind and Pokémon Snap hits with the nostalgia because my sister and I used to play that for hours as kids.

Everything else is fine, just don’t care. Was not a fan of Outriders gameplay at all, very clunky. Returnal? Meh, no PS5 so who cares.

I’ll probably end up with nothing in April.

I was implying the $70 for Returnal and other Sony games. 😎

Oddworld is at the top. I was going to be all in on Outriders as well, but my bud I'd be co-oping with is wanting to wait till they can grab a PS5 so they don't have to deal with the PS4 version, even with the free upgrade.

Very happy to see Oddworld will be free to Plus users.

Terminator Resistance Enhanced for PS5? This is sad. Seems Sony isn't going to let PS5 enhance 8th gen games beyond what they were as 8th gen games because BC works within limitations of last gen systems, so devs have to re-release them and consumers have to double dip. Control Ultimate Edition seems like a crock of shit and was only done because Sony never had a smart delivery framework. Hell, I was just talking to a friend who was explaining to me this is reason they brought Sinking City re-release to PS5 only, original had performance issues all around, XSX can power through them now but Sony's PS5 BC runs it like a PS4 would so they have to make a whole new port. Pathetic.

Great game by the way I got it for a bargain on sale and it was a lot of fun.

I'm most interested in Nier Replicant and Returnal. I probably won't have a PS5 until summer or so , so I'll probably rent Nier on PS4 if turns out well.

Ill give Outriders a look on Game Pass. Other than that, I still have Horizon Zero Dawn to complete on my PC.

I see xbox is being left out of 7 of those games that will be on playstation. But not a single game for xbox that won't also be on playstation. Odd.

Def pick up The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel IV at some point, but need to catch it by like, 3 games. And each of these is about 50 odd hours long.

Gamestop offering $10 Game Coin if you preorder from them. That still wasn't enough to convince me lol. It just looks like a poor man's Nier Automata. I hope I'm wrong.

Only if the gameplay really improves. I do have Neir on the PS3. While the story was intriguing, the gameplay sucked.

It's a lot of work. Just the Cold Steel games are at ~250-300 hours. Kinda wanna finish it myself, but it will be tough.

I am so incredibly annoyed by the fact that sheep will be playing Rise and not me. I haven't been this triggered in a long time.

Yeah, Amplitude makes AMAZING games. Big fan of theirs. Endless Space 2 and Endless Legend are great TBS games.

Been hyped for Humankind ever since hearing of it. Turn-based strategy games are games where I sit down at 8 PM and next thing I know it's 3 AM hahaha.

A good TBS with a good sountrack is a winning combo. Civ knows this....looks like Humankind does too.

What about when Nintendo fans played exclusive MH games on 3DS? Like MH4U, the best Monster Hunter ever made?

You can for 360 bucks. You bought a PS5, so you're already familiar with burning money on a console for only one game. Or you could just wait a year for the PC version. I'm just gonna assume that you have a PC, since being a gamer would suck otherwise.
