Did Sony ever discontinued it. Or was it left to die without even a whimper. If people no longer care for it, why doesn't Sony support its hardware.

Instead of Sony forcing their consumers, they smartened up and realized it wasn't a good idea. But if you look at the prototype PS4 controller, the move could be built in to the controller itself, much like the next Xbox will require you to have Kinect.
They're leaving it out to dry. Thats what Sony does bestRR360DD
Better to cut your losses then run with them.
I have a strong feeling that Vita is headed down this same path. Sony won't say anything. They just let it die without no word of it.

They will integrate the Vita with the PS4 somehow. Sony likes to do that with their products.

6 billion in debt, they need to get some more cutting done. That stock tanked and I own it.They just dont focus on it as much as m$ does with kinect, but theres still move games out there that im sure doesnt interest you, makes me wonder why you ask about move? Did you suddenly wanna play move games?j_assassinNo. Its just weird how some things are just ignored in all the noise. Are u a cow? Are you just mad that I brought it up? If so, why?

But sony really hasnt been pushing to the forefront like MS and Kinect

I think Sony wants to stick to their core and not aggressively push motion controls on people. Sony is pretty good at not alienating their fanbase.

What about those that bought move thinking there would be great support. Did sony just screw them over. Why?[QUOTE="dream431ca"]

Flawed number, every Move unit count as 1 sale. I'm not sure if there are 3 parts or just 2. This was confirmed/clarified when IGN asked a Sony rep. I can dig it up if you want.
Furthermore, one household could own 2 Move sets, meaning 4-6 sales in one household. I mention this because one household buys 1 game. In Kinect's case, its 17m or whatever number is pure install base, whereas the install base of Move is probably below 5m all things considered.

Umm, the Move was successful. It wasn't AS successful as Kinect, but successful nonetheless.I see, my bad.

You said Move games not Move only games and does it even matter? The fact is that games are being made with support for Move. In fact Sony is smart since games for motion controls only usually suck. Making it an option is much better.[QUOTE="NathanDrakeSwag"]what ever happened to 360 games? did m$ stop making them?jimmypsnCome on man. I dont think controller shape will allow to use it like Playstation Move, at that shape it wont work in all orientations (thats why Move got ball to be visible at any angle except backwards). In motion controls Move will be superior compired to DS4 prototype at it's current shape. But as controller it will allow to have more practical solutions for hardcore gamer, for example for more accurate aiming which analog stick will never deliverInstead of Sony forcing their consumers, they smartened up and realized it wasn't a good idea. Well to tell the truth, you don't need light (postion detection) to implement motion aiming, only thing that DS3 is missing to do so it's magnetometer allowing to detect horizontal orientation, thru light might help in it to get more acurrate messurmentsNot dead, new games come out that support it.
However those games almost always also support the dual shock, so no one gives a damn.
