What is the best expansion/dlc made?

Hello. was playing Opposing Force and was wondering if people agree it's the best expansion made, or if something more+ exists.

Since the term "Expansion pack" and "dlc" are now pretty much interchangeable, feel free to put forward DLC.

Overall, it seems to me Opposing Force is the best, which could be wrong, but probably isn't.

Diablo II Lord of Destruction

Both Witcher 3 expansions are awesome, could have been launched as separate spinoff releases (especially Blood and Wine).

Also I really like Lair of the Shadow Broker for Mass Effect 2.

Yup, I was gonna say Blood and Wine. Practically a fully game for 1/3 the price.

Yeah that's a great one. I also thought the DLC for GTA4 was a good example of DLC with good value. Blizzard Mountain Expansion from Forza Horizon 3 is basically the most fun I've ever had racing in the snow in a racing game before. As someone who has driven in the snow a lot in real life, I was mesmerized by all the attention to detail in the environment, very realistic, and complemented the main game well. There are many more I'm sure, can't think of anything else right now

Expansions: Mysteries of the Sith, X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter: Balance of Power, AOM: Titans.

DLC: Hearts of Stone, Blood and Wine, Ninja Gaiden: Hurricane packs.

Expansion: I really like Crysis Warhead. Oh Frozen Throne for Warcraft 3. That's ace as ****.

DLC: Definitely the hurricane pack for Ninja Gaiden or Artorias of the Abyss.

Frozen Throne, Neverwinter nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer, Lord of Destruction

Witcher 3: Blood and Wine.

Frozen Throne was amazing. Blood and Wine is a obvious one too. Mario Kart 8 had some fantastic stuff added too. Have to give it to Frozen Throne but

i never did finish neverwinter nights 2..really need to find the time to reinstall

Shivering Isles. In a time DLC weren't cookie cutter copies. Now it's like the developers don't want to give too too much in one DLC.

Horse armo.... ok ok, kidding all aside,

I'm gonna go with Citadel for Mass Effect 3. It had some cool set pieces for its main mission, but what really sets it at the top is the whole second act where you/Shepard has the chance to expand the relationship with the ME cast, from the variety of individual social engagements in that new "Vegas" section of the Citadel, and culminating in the party at Shepard's new loft... just so many memorable group interactions that made for a genuine team bonding experience. It was like celebrating the holidays with family. I really found it hard to go back to the war with the Reapers, just wanted to stay in that loft and chill with my posse. ?

And I do have to give a mention to Lair of the Shadow Broker; such a rich campaign with a diverse mix of mission scenes - crime scene investigation, skycar chase, the battles on the exterior of the Shadow Broker's ship with that amazing storm clouds backdrop, and well done boss battles. Sure it's campaign is better than that in the Citadel, but again for the bonding moments in the party, just gives Citadel the edge.

Grand Theft Auto 4 The Ballad of Gay Tony.

I have fond memories of The Core Contingency expansion for Total Annihilation. Lots of new units, 25 new missions, lots of new maps. What more could you want?

Also, Citadel for Mass Effect 3 might just be the greatest DLC I've ever played.

I've heard great things about Blood & Wine for The Witcher 3, but I haven't played that game.

Expansion? Probably Lord of Destruction for Diablo II.

DLC? I don't know. Something that's free.

Took the seriousness out of GTA IV and made it fun.

Added lots of crazy new weapons, missions and characters.

Back when Rockstar added singleplayer expansions instead of focussing soley on expanding the multiplayer mode for the moneyzzzzzzzzzzzz

One expansion pack had more content than all the full priced sequels that came after it... I don't even

Pigsy's Perfect 10 or Forza Horizon 3's 2 expansions.

Ballad of Gay Tony used to be my favourite. Made me enjoy the game I hated thoroughly.

Then CDPR made Hearts of Stone. Then Blood and Wine droppe.

I somehow Loved DOOM 3's Expansion.(Resurrection Of Evil)

They Added a New Campaign , New Alien Like Monster , double barrel shotgun , a new gun that allows you to send Enemies Projectiles right back to them , and a new Bullet time PowerUp.(It also had a much Harder Final Boss compare to Vanilla DOOM 3)

Opposing Force is a great expansion in fact I would go as far as to say that I liked it more then even both Half-Life 2's episodes 1 and 2.

It's too bad that Blue Shift wasn't that good though.
