An unusual experience that could've been great with better writing.
I think I'm finally getting to the stage where I'm a bit cynical of gaming, and tired of paying for the same game several times over (I'm looking at you, Assassin's Creed!). However, there are still occasional games that... Read Full Review

Beautiful anime-style graphics, great storyline, and challenging puzzles makes this a great JRPG. (Made from Persona!)
I picked up the special edition of Catherine, which includes a white t-shirt with heart health bars, heart boxers, art book, soundtrack, which are all packed in a pizza box. xD For $79.99, I think it's a great deal for 2... Read Full Review

A very unique game from the amazing Atlus, an absolute masterpiece in its own right. A bit short, but still worth it.
OK, so Catherine is 6 months old. But over here, in good old Blighty, it was only release a couple of weeks ago. I've been waiting for months for the UK release, and the bottom line is... It was bloody worth the wait.... Read Full Review

Mind-bending gameplay and an engaging story help to make Catherine one of the most unique games ever devised.
Literally, you never have experienced a game such as this. As far as creativity and originality goes, Catherine is definitely somewhere at the top of a list. It's both a challenging puzzle game and a "romantic horror" st... Read Full Review

A Bitter Relationship
I love video games. I do. We've been together for a long time now, probably bordering on fifteen years. And while those years have been filled with joy, heartbreak, and triumph, I have to be honest: Video games, you've b... Read Full Review

Dating sim meets block puzzle game -- it works, it's very well polished, but can be a chore.
Atlus definitely knows how to take fairly simple games and polish them into something more than the sum of the parts. Catherine is a good example of that. It combines the social elements of games like Persona or some Jap... Read Full Review

Its a shame that a good game clearly meant for an adult crowd to appreciate doesn't treat users like adults.
I've been dreaming about pushing blocks lately. A lot of people are viewing these puzzles as filler for the cinematics, but the trials in Catherine manage to be both painful and bizarrely addicting. In fact, I would have... Read Full Review

best and most unique game in a long time
It is a crime that hardly anyone knows of this game, and it will not even be nominated as game of the year in 90% of sites. It's a candidate for game of the decade for me, and definite game of the year. This is arguabl... Read Full Review

Catherine is a mix of different things, but in all, it's fun and unique, making it worth at least a playthrough or two.
I had waited on Catherine for months, waiting for its release. I picked it up on launch day and started it that night. While it takes a bit of adjusting to get into, the game's well worth it, and soon, you'll probably en... Read Full Review

Punishingly hard but oh so worth it.
When you begin the game of Catherine, it's very clear that you're getting into some uncharted waters for both the PS3 and potentially yourself as well. What starts out as a random dude hanging in a bar with his friends ... Read Full Review
