Rating:5
The least essential "Guitar Hero" title.
Mercifully, the final of the many plastic instrument games released in 2009 was "Guitar Hero: Van Halen," which hit stores in the month of December...well, sort of. Months before its release, Activision announced a deal ... Read Full Review

GH: VH is yet ANOTHER spin-off of the series. It it worth it?
Let's face it, the amazing guitar playing of Eddie Van Halen would make dynamite material for a guitar hero game. Now, after god knows how long we VH fans have waited, we finally get GH: VH. It is worth it, or should we ... Read Full Review

I own EVERY Guitar Hero game from 3: Legends Of Rock onwards. This edition of Guitar Hero seemed to be kept quiet for some reason, i only stumbled upon it browsing internetz one day, soon as i was aware of it's existance... Read Full Review

Subjectivity, not always a bad thing as this game might just be for you.
Ah, Guitar Hero: Van Halen. Hailed by many as another attempt to milk a dying franchise, I plan to show you that it has more to offer than you might expect. Bear in mind though that, if you don't like Van Halen or sem... Read Full Review

Over so fast, not enough songs to be worth a full price.
This was a good game overall, I was surprised I didnt realize all the good songs Van Halen actually had. I was dissappointed that "Right Now" wasnt on the playlist tho. I really enjoyed the Blink-182 song they added to t... Read Full Review

First of all, AWESOME Game!!! I'm a VH fan from the early 80's and absolutely HAD to buy this game. All in all everything is great, except I was very disappointed that Michael Anthony is not represented. I was also extre... Read Full Review

What happened???
Leave it to the good folks at Activision to pick up a perfectly lovely concept and crumple it in their greedy, masturbatory hands. I bashed Guitar Hero Aerosmith for my own selfish, biased reasons. This time around... Read Full Review

Expected more out of this than what I got. But, it's still fun.
If you're like me, there were several bands that were true icons of rock when you were growing up in the 80's/90's: Guns N' Roses, Metallica, ACDC and of course, Van Halen. So when I heard GH for Van Halen was hitting t... Read Full Review

Van Halen is described as legendary but this game isn't but just simply fun.
Van Halen is known for a lot of things like Eddie Van Halen's guitar technique, their usage of backup vocals and their #1 hit single "Jump". Guitar Hero is also known for a lot of things like usage of a plastic guitar co... Read Full Review

This game feels more like an excellent track pack if anything else.
Guitar Hero Van Halen is the latest guitar hero game. It is based on Van Halen, similar to Guitar Hero Aerosmith and Guitar Hero Metallica. It is much better than Guitar Hero Aerosmith, but not as good as Guitar Hero Met... Read Full Review
