The no DRM/$399/£349 bombs, and the Used Game Instructional video, are two moments that will live forever in gaming folklore. I'm not even kidding. Those two things will be remembered and talked about for years and years.
@Zevvion @BZSIN @Axsider The PS3's architecture is pretty terrible, which is a problem the PS4 doesn't have. The fact that Sony's 1st party has pulled off some ridiculously good-looking games on such limited hardware is a good sign of things to come, at least for me personally.
@Zevvion @Axsider Third party games may only have slight differences, but when Sony's 1st party studios fully come to grips with the machine, the difference in power will be hugely noticable.
From a pure hardware perspective, the PS4 is much more powerful and it isn't even arguable. Saying DX is an advantage like it'll somehow negate the PS4's extra power is just a lie. Some serious spin in this video.
Thank you, Mark. After reading the awful GI.biz article yesterday which tried to make out that a console requiring an internet connection isn't a bad thing (which, to be honest, was the least of that article's problems), it's nice to read something that puts it all into perspective. There is absolutely no reason a console should be required to be connected to the internet to play single-player games.
It seems that Sony isn't abandoning its audience and is making a gamer's console first and foremost, which is something we should all be happy about. The fact that developers seem happy with it is also a great sign.
Sony spent billions of Dollars on R & D for the PS3. They're selling it at a loss. You want them to bankrupt themselves by selling it super-cheap? New consoles have ALWAYS been more expensive in the UK, so why all the moaning? If you were clever, you would've started putting money away a while ago. Microsoft have the deepest pockets in the world, so they can afford to sell the 360 at a huge loss. I'm not a fanboy, either.
