Hey guys, hope somebody here could help me out, I don't have great internet speeds:

But on any individual computer or application I get a max download speed of between 700-750 kb/s even though according to my ISP I get 5mb/s dl and speedtest.net confirms this.

Any idea why these downloads don't take all the available bandwith and go up to 5 mb/s?

utorrent, steam, origin, impulse, windows update, they all max out at 750 kb/s

My save file I've been playing since Episode 1 is apparently screwed, loaded it up and in "previously on The Walking Dead" segment it did not follow my previous choices. Any chance of recovering it or them fixing that in a patch, or should I give up and start form scratch?

[QUOTE="Frieza99"]Go for cyberlink power dvd 12 , which is for playing blu-ray dics and hd . also , it supported most of the files.Amster_G

That costs monies, though. I personally find it ridiculous that they get us to pay for playback software.

Me too, still waiting to hear if anybody's got a free video player that will play blu ray discs or know how to get VLC working with BD+ discs

Looks like your missing codecs. Do you a have a codec pack isntalled?

I had this same issue onmy HTPC. I ended up just ripping my Blu-rays to the harddrive. Some I transcoded to high quality .mkv and that's that. Witha decent RAID 1 setup I was abel to store my entire collection (about 5 to 10 gigs per high def movie) total space about 1/2 a terabyte.

I've installed many codec packs over the years, know one with BD+ or whatever I need?
What software do you use for ripping into mkv? And when you do that will it also bring subtitles for non-english doalouge?

Well I completly wiped out VLC and reinstalled it and the two extra files but still no luck, different error now though:

"Blu-Ray error:

This Blu-Ray Disc needs a library for BD+ decoding, and your system does not have it.

Your input can't be opened:

VLC is unable to open the MRL 'bluray:///D:/'. Check the log for details."

I'm guessing that since BD+ isn't the same as AACS I need a file for that too, but this is a little over my head.

I did some more googling and it seems you are right, VLC should be able to play blu ray discs if you follow these steps:

http://vlc-bluray.whoknowsmy.name/

But it's still not working for me, I'm still getting errors, the log reads:

If that helps anyone solve anything. So still looking for a media player that works or help on fixing VLC

Try VLC Media Player, as what I just found in the link says it supports Blu-Ray playback. http://www.zeropaid.com/news/99186/vlc-media-player-2-0-adds-blu-ray-support-reworked-mac-interface/ You can get the installer from videolan.org.Stinger78

vlc does not play blu ray discs unfourtuantly (first thing I tried), I think it has to do with them being protected, anyway it spits out this error when I try:

"Blu-Ray error:

This Blu-Ray Disc needs a library for AACS decoding, and your system does not have it.

Your input can't be opened:

VLC is unable to open the MRL 'bluray:///D:/'. Check the log for details."

Wasn't sure which forum to go with on this one, hopefully you guys know about this or where I should be asking.

I've got a blu-ray drive in my pc and want to play commercial blu ray movies on it. All my harware is HDCP and pretty high specs.

So what I'm looking for is a media player that does blu ray discs, hopefully for free. An hour of googling hasn't got me much of anything so I'm asking for help.

They are god tier with singing and writing their songs (if they do do the writing of them lol).

Indeed they do, they even most of the instruments as part of their band D.V.D.A.

Don't forget they did their south park movie which was a musical and their broadway musical (Book Of Mormon) won 9 freaking Tony's

The 360 wired controller for windows by far. The most compatibility you can get. Works with a LOT of games right out of the box
