Most people on these message boards aren't part of the "real world", they rarely go outside and don't socialize too much. This is why most people here think that the Japanese are racist and don't buy American products while also thinking that "Casuals" will kill an enitre "core group" in a medium.

I was being serious. Gamespot always rates Nintendo's casual games high but never their gamer games.

Why do you think on here the difference between the DS and PSP in AA's is so much when on Gameranking's it's very little and on Gamerankings' the DS has more AAA's then the PSP?

Because they heavily COURTED these publishers. And they had a quality console with a lot of developer support. I'm talking prior to the release of the 360. If SE had said that FFXIII is coming for the PS3 and 360 during E3 or TGS 2005, it would've made a HUGE difference in 360 sales in Japan. Same with MGS (which actually sales MUCH higher outside of Japan, but I digress), Tekken, etc.Darth_Tigris

Those games have ALWAYS been exclusive franchies. They never appear on two consoles before so why now?

My point was that the initial lack of commitment from Japanese devs with their important titles DOOMED the 360 in Japan from the start. That cannot be blamed on MS. But, for the sake of fairness, MS did make misteps in a market that is hard to understand when it comes to gaming.

No it is Microsoft's fault they couldn've turned themselves around in that region like SEGA did with the Saturn if they just took it seriously.

Personally I don't like puzzlers too much.

But you can get a bite of Yusomin, the online game Square-Enix is releasing to the DS on Japan, right here. :)

Yet you have SE, who if I am not mistaken, is the 2nd or 3rd largest publisher in Japan, admitting that the other markets are so large that they want 75% of their revenue coming from them.

The 360 only gets one multiplat that's also on the PS3 and it's a "major projects"?
