If you haven't played it already, Dredge is awesome.

You know, the Souls genre is one I've wanted to like. I finally played Dark Souls Remastered a few years ago and after some stumbles, I did well. When I beat a boss after several tries, it was a satisfying experience. But, I never looked forward to playing it.
It wasn't a problem with the difficulty. It actually wasn't as difficult as I was expecting. The problem for me was a complete lack of connection with what was happening on screen.
When I care about a character or the narrative of a game, then I find that I will often will end up on a second play through on whatever hardest difficulty there is.
I guess what I'm saying is that maybe it's just not for you. I, too, can respect that these are great games, they just aren't for me.
The thing about Square is they are disappointed in every release they have. It's like every report concerning them is where they are saying the sales numbers aren't what they expected.
I would love to see more multiplatform games again though. I used to switch back and forth between consoles for multiplatform stuff, but in the last few years everything is a damn exclusive.
Spiderman 2 - 7/10
For me, a 7 is a positive score. I enjoyed the game but there were some ridiculous moments. Unlike most people, I was fine with the MJ sneaking sections in the first game. But for some reason, they made MJ more powerful than either Miles or Peter this go around.
It was fine. I felt like a superhero and web swinging is a blast. But, I wasn't wowed by the game. It was fine.
I think Phil Spencer is fine as long as you understand that he is full of crap.
Have you ever had someone tell you exactly what you want to hear, despite all evidence pointing otherwise? That is Phil.
He is great at being a mouthpiece. He whispers sweet nothings into gamers ears, and they eat it up.
Yes but because I had 3 years built up. I'll decide next year if I want to keep it when it runs out. I find, that I just prefer to buy the games I want to play rather than depend on a subscription service that might remove that game at any time.
I have found a little value in my PS subscription, but I'm not sure that it equals the cost. I'll probably let it drop next year. Things like this make me squint and realize I'd rather just buy a particular game on the cheap and play it eventually when I'm ready.
Don't forget Eiyuden Chronicle. That game just released to good reviews and is a fantastic game from the makers of Suikoden.
I never played Persona 3 back in the day and am thinking about picking it up later in the year. Unicorn Overlord too.
I can see a lot of people are upset about this, but it probably has something to do with accessibility, which is something I'm seeing more and more in games and is a good thing imho.
I was a backer on this game. I played through 1-5 and used to be a megafan. My gaming tastes have changed a bit but I thought this game was a worthy cause.
