I don't have a 360 controller, so I downloaded a x360ce emulator for my F510 Logitech Gamepad. But I don't know the actual mapping with the button assignment with button assigned as button 0,1,2,3,4,5,6 etc...

Anyone know what is the correct mapping?

That thing is huge, doesn't look very pretty either.

Pikminmaniac

None of them look pretty this gen, just extremely bland. At least last gen they had some soul.

I actually think the PS3 was an ugly looking console and that the PS4 is one of those rare instances where Sony created a really sleek and beatiful system.

The Xbox One, however, is a lot uglier than all the 360 designs, but nothing is uglier than the original PS2

Actually I kinda like the PS3 design, especially the original fat PS3, looks real good. But the subsequent redesign, not so much. I think with the PS4, Sony is moving the design back to basics, to align with the PS4 target, with a more simpler architecture and easy to program, unlike the PS3.

Xbox One however, looks bad, I don't get the design at all. But it's still prettier than the original Xbox IMO

[QUOTE="mitu123"]You can get 1TB external hard drives for 70 some bucks on amazon...

Senor_Kami

If you replaced the internal, is it possible to clone the data and migrate it to a new drive?

I believe you'd have to redownload and reinstall everything. Ask anyone with a PS3 how much they'd look for ward to doing that with 500GB worth of content from PSN. Plus, replacing sucks. With external you're expanding. Buy a $70 1TB external drive and now you have 1.5TB of space. Buy a $60 internal drive and now you have 1TB of space and a nifty paperweight. I don't know why Sony is doing this. Xbone supports external, Wii U supports external, and even the fricking 360 supports it. Why they've decided to be less technically proficient than every other next gen console and a current gen one is baffling to me.

I beg to differ, I have no trouble with swapping HDD. First, it doesn't spoil warranty on PS3 (might be the same with PS4).

Secondly, contents can be backed up to external HDD on the PS3, but you can't access the content on your PC. Once you swapped in your new HDD, just restore, no redownload needed.

So, assume Sony did the same method, I would have no problem with that. ;)

Hmmm interesting. I wonder if you replace the internal HDD, are you going to be able to install games. I'm not sure what difference it would make if you used an external HDD and you're unable to install. Weird. Also its nice using external HDD so you don't void warranties or anything. Sony being sneaky again, doing a 180 the wrong way.gago-gago

Changing HDD on the PS3 won't void the warranty, PS4 will be the same...

Can we make a sticky where lems can cry about the old policies and how stupid ideas like game sharing would have never worked?

HyperWarlock

Once Sony goes backrupt and discountines the FailStation 4, Xbox will be the only real new gen console. So start liking it, cockroach.

If Sony goes bankrupt, there's Nintendo and PC... Xbox One? Nah....

GS has this same story.  Are we supposed to expect some form of MS office on Xbox then?  Because that sounds like it'd be atrocious.

If I were running a business and an employee suggested we buy $500 Skype boxes, he'd be out that day.

ethanradd

Actually I had thought this as well, until I read on a similar discussion on Reddit and found out that companies *do* buy custom "skype boxes" that go for as much as $8,000 (which is shocking, but apparently common) and therefore this will be a bargain for many small companies

Why not open up the pc version of kinect instead of just dev units...? I think that could be a solution...

Microsoft is pitching the Xbox One to small businesses.

In an open letter to the small business community (via Neowin), Microsoft's director of Consumer Camp Marques Lyons said Skype, SkyDrive and other applications available on the console could be of benefit to offices that use video conferencing and networking.

"What is being positioned as an excellent entertainment device can be just as enticing for you and your small business," he wrote.

"In fact, it's entirely justifiable to make the Xbox One a business expense. The Xbox One, priced at $499 [£429], is an affordable option for small business owners, as there are many features built into the console that could help it rival even the most modest of video conferencing and networking platforms."

Lyons pointed to Skype on Xbox One, which comes with the new Kinect sensor, as of particular interest to small businesses.

"Utilise Skype, and the power of group chatting, to have that collaborative exchange with clients and co-workers, no matter where in the world they happen to be," Lyons said.

"Utilize the size of that nice TV screen to see every smile and nod as your next great plan comes together. The Xbox One with Kinect, as a Skype provider, is just as capable as a PC with an attached/included microphone and webcam. The difference here is that Xbox One and Kinect gives you the open space to move, gesture, show examples, and see everyone more clearly."

Lyons also mentioned Microsoft's cloud-based document storing platform SkyDrive, which on Xbox One works with Kinect-enabled voice and hand gestures.

"With SkyDrive via Internet Explorer, you can use it with the Office Web Apps to open that Excel spreadsheet or PowerPoint," he said. "Use the Kinect voice and hand gestures to navigate to websites. Now you're free of clickers and light pens to use your hands to for more expressive gestures."

Lyons noted how SmartGlass can be used to send presentations to the TV and navigate PowerPoint presentations with a tablet. There's also Internet Explorer available on Xbox One, as it is on Xbox 360.

"If you host clients at your home, use the power of IE and the size of your TV to showcase your new redesigned website, or snap IE to the side while using SkyDrive to present sketches you're working on. Because Internet Explorer has access to the Office Web Apps, pair that with a Wi-Fi keyboard and mouse and you have the means to edit documents, when necessary, even if you aren't near your PC."

Xbox One isn't out until November, but Lyons suggested future applications will be added to the console that may benefit small businesses.

"The app story of Xbox One has yet to be written, therefore it is entirely possible to find apps down the road that could be of benefit for you and your business. With the processing power, snap mode, and connection to a large screen, that the Xbox One has, this device is capable of going from the 'break room' to the 'board room'."

Microsoft chose to focus on Xbox One's TV-related features during its console reveal event in May, leaving its E3 press conference in June to announce games.

The Xbox One is pitched as an all-in-one device that offers games alongside other forms of entertainment, as well as the quick and easy switching between applications, such as going from Skype to a movie to a game and live television.

Wow, when OnLive emphasised on cloud, you guys say no even to the most basic cloud usage. Now MS say they will use cloud for the Xbox One: "OH MY GOD!!! CLOUD IS SO AWESOME!!!" Fanboys' mentality is really funny at times...

Back to the topic, I would say no. I don't want my games' graphics depending on internet connection, latency and ISP services. My country has a fast internet connection, but the internet keeps disconnecting. So, a big NO over here...
