Just give it some time. They'll eventually hit a lull in creativity and decide they might as well pursue that easy money. Personally, I prefer they wait at least a few more years so the games have a bigger technology boost to benefit from.

Thanks for finally differentiating the new games in the list from the old, guys! Kudos.

In case you couldn't tell from the video, this game goes way above and beyond anything the LEGO franchise has done before. I've been playing through all the LEGO games with my sons, and while they were all a lot of fun, I'm actually enjoying this one enough to play it alone. Of course, it helps that I'm a huge Marvel fan and obsessive completionist and the game has 100+ unique characters to unlock.

@DillTurnips @WTA2k5 more like, the dumbest statement ever posted in a gaming article.

How does the tagging system make you have to work harder to track enemies? Since MGS3, you only had the sonar and motion sensors, which took up the active device slot and required battery management, and anything over normal difficulty took most the crutches away. This spot-n-tag system sounds like easy-mode to me.

@mellow09 I'm having a hard time believing this dude played any of the MGS games. He even praised V for doing things already featured in 3, 4, and Peace Walker.

The story is lame. The characters are ugly. The player areas are tiny and disconnected. The boss fights are nothing but one large enemy surrounded by an endless wave of smaller enemies. And character builds are darn near predetermined. Dungeon queues can take forever, even an hour or more. Public PVP teams are filled with bots. Cash shop items are ridiculously overpriced ($40 horses!).

But yes, the combat is a great deal of fun.

@crazygreekgeek easily my biggest disappointment with the game. This game is not open-world in any shape or form. Just one big player hub (Protector's Enclave) and a bunch of densely packed, yet relatively small mission zones. Oh, and all the loading screens you could ever want.

@DanteGod123 Kratos was tricked into killing his wife and kid and that story has been praised to no end. Superman does it and it's sick, lame, bordering on parody. What gives? It actually makes sense when you see the rest of the story. This reviewer doesn't seem to be very familiar with comic book stories in general. And for a fighting game, it's actually damn good.
