Good review but the 2009 game was MK V/s DC Not MK Alone
Other than that the review seems to be accurate to the games features, i found playing the demo was too rewarding, i wasn't a pro but the game gave me a illusion that i am like one, this can be satisfactory among friends, but will definitely hinder your progress if you want to progress to a more pro level, since you can't replay matches, you are i guess stuck wth whatever little help you find, pro players will be hard to beat now
Overall i will buy the game just for a DC Fighting experience, but i hope the netcode is good, MK 2011 had the worst netcode, couldn't even connect to a game anywhere, here from india
So if the same happens netherrealm can forget me buying their games as long as i live here, certainly over the past Netherralm have kept us less technologically developed countries out of their plans for the game , which sucks
A Forum friend of mine completed the game & then proceeded to play the collect mission given by a frog, after he completed the mission, he was allowed to play the real ending of the game through a special chapter, he says it clears up the story pretty well, it's a shame a 16-17 year old guy was able to figure this out & a professional reviewer couldn't go all the way to complete the review properly, shame on you gamespot for mistreating a game
Check out the IGN review, i am not going by the score but that review was done better than this one, even if gamespot would have given this a 7.5 i would have mind, the review has to be proper & by someone who understands what the game is meant to do, maxwell even knew well in his storm generations review , i was skeptic about it at first but now looking back at it i feel he had better understanding of naruto than Carolyn
I guess Carolyn can only review a tomb raider game well, Carolyn can't understand other games & 5.5-6.5 seems to be her idea score to play it safe & not upset anyone that much, but that shitty review of Naruto storm 3 shows how Carolyn lacks skills, Gamespot seriously don't you have better reviewers, i guess gamespot really did die when Brian Ekberg walked of the job
God of war ascension got a 8.0 despite having a lame story & gamespot had forgiven it for the crap MP which was clearly advertised & intended to be a selling aspect of the game
Naruto having the best boss battles compared to the good but somewhat shallow battles of God of war & having a far supirior MP & a better story than GOW still was given a 6, gamespot is being paid from everyone these days as it seems to hype games
@jd2791 Naruto games have to follow the characters closely, you can't alter the moves of characters with each new gae, maybe you would want kakashi to use some made up attack for a finisher but it wont be as awesome as raikiri
MK & any American product just keep on changing character moves, just to milk franchise in new ways, all the concept of fighting roots goes down the drain
Anyway no anime fighters at evo , lol dude, Persona 4 Arena disagrees
Game Trailers is also a huge fan of the series but both GT & gamespot gave it low scores, this is normal, Naruto games for the last 2 games have the misfortune going up against big names in the period, last year generations was against SFxT which the EVO community didn't even care that much & still SFxT got 9/10
Some people have asked me how can i say this game was made to look bad just because injustice will release in april
I will point them to 2011 when Mortal Kombat beat Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 for Spike TV's fighting game of the year & UMvC3 despite being a better balanced game than MvC3 just as SSF4 was to SF4 it still lost review scores & awards to MK, warner bros. know how to promote their sh!t, despite loving MK, i have come to know over the years that it's just flashy mashing combat
Note both of the sites have critisied story aspect AKA the strong point of Netherleam studio games, the only thing they do well in fighring games combine that with power of Injustice being a DC Comic game & the extra cash to pay off reviewers, this was bound to happen in the sad saga of gaming industry plagued by paid reviewers >:(
@TeenageTom Yeah & like i said who uses english dubs while playing naruto or most of the anime games with j-audio & english subs support, english audio can't bring out the best of the emotions
The game is meant to be played in japanese, gamespot can find good reviewers for AAA anime games like ni no kuni but can't find a decent reviewer for naruto this is a crew joke , bring back reviewers & editors like Brian ekberg
For the love of the fighting spirit, somebody please review the game again, one of the cheapest reviews i ever seen, i wont be able to sleep well at night >:(
@alenth I am definitely going to buy it, but a big name like gamespot has a influence over fans, so many people will not buy the game because of the score, they wont even bother to see how badly the review is done
Reviewers these days are paid to promote games, i remember gamespot giving WWE12 a bad review & that year they didn't have their annual thing with The miz n all
This year there is some paid Injustice done by gods among us, to lower the sales of potential threats to these gods
