Ryse doesn't look that amazing. It might have to do with the artstyle and colour palette they went with though. It being an arena-like action game also kinda makes it a less impressive tech piece honestly. Apart from the cutscenes, I don't really find it amazing looking like some people do.

Killzone SF is the more impressive tech piece when compared to Ryse. It does have inconsistent areas, but it's overall a more pleasing looking game and is actually a lot more open. Still boring as hell, though not to the same extent as Ryse mind you.

I would be too. The game has too many boring segments.

They tried to do a sandbox game, but failed to include good encounters and situations. The story is also quite bland and doesn't pull you in from the start. It's good that they branched off from completely linear corridor shooting, but next time they should do more work on the gameplay and story pacing.

Can't believe how boring the launch titles are for this generation. Both Microsoft's and Sony's 1st party/2nd party launch titles are quite disappointing.

Well I guess it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Kinda sad that it's on the PS3 though.

Two weeks later, "Sony removes camera support for streams" - that would actually be a decent solution. Some people are idiots and "streaming" is the equivalent of giving them a knife, i.e. they'll cut themselves.

From those I would pick Starcraft, only because SC1 was absolutely magnificent (unlike SC2).

Westwood studios RTS games were god-like though. Too bad EA had to ruin the legacy.

If you like the game, then I don't see the problem of paying full-price for it (unless it's already on sale).

I buy physical games I like at full price only though, digital is an exception to the rule. Games on steam I usually get during sale periods only and not on release. I just don't see digital being worth as much as a physical copy (mostly directed at Blizzard's digital prices)
