@warmblur: Try the recently released Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered. I bought it yesterday on Black Friday sale from the Xbox store. It’s made by Criterion (makers of the Burnout franchise) and it’s pretty decent with plenty of variety. Takedowns and shunts are all there too and it definitely feels Burnout.

It’s getting pretty good reviews too. Fair warning though - it’s not optimized for next gen. But it looks serviceable.

Gaming would still exist and be thriving. During the crash - Commodore, Apple, and IBM were thriving gaming brands. It was gaming progression from kid centric consoles. Nintendo provided a reset to kid centric gaming, but it didn’t revolutionize gaming as a whole. Someone else would’ve taken the reigns given how technology progresses.
