To the person that said the E2180 isn't enough for Crysis, then because of the RAM and motherboard, overclocking it to at least 3Ghz should be easy. ;)

I don't know what all these other people are talking about, but I believe that i've made a perfectly serviceable computer for $600. You will have to choose a PSU etc, but you could probably skimp a little on the vid card to save money, or wait for an 8800GT.

Motherboard:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16813188017 = $80

CPU:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16819116052 = $93

RAM:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16820146567 = $105

GPU:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16814130082 = $270

TOTAL = $548

I got 55 on my first try, and 58 on mah second :D

I love my relatively cheap Sharkoon Rush mouse. btw, these were at 800dpi. I didn't try at 2000, but I bet it would've been worse ;)

I just have on thing to add and that is that the Samsung 226BW panels are all exactly the same in terms of image quality. The only difference is the settings they come with from the factory, and in this case, the S panels are the best generally, but with a little bit of tweaking and fine tuning, you could get a C panel looking just like an S panel.

Just my 2 pence :P

What he means is that you don't have to pay full MSRP for the first card, but you do for the second, as you are effectively buying it straight off of eVGA when you use step-up.

I would've thought that maybe the CPU cooler wasn't attached properly, and so its over heating when its standing up, but when its laying down, gravity is pressing it against the CPU. Make sure the cooler is attached properly :)

Ever since my dad brought home an old dell monitor from work I've been using two monitors and it is completely invaluable, especially for programs which take up lots of screen space like FL Studio or the Gimp. Also, being able to play games and then see foobar, or xfire in the other monitor is damn handy ;)

My beloved ole 754 Athlon 3400+ :D Its never let me down yet. (but mind you i've never played supreme commander)

I might upgrade to a Pentium E2160 though, and overclock the living hell out of it. ;)

May I just add that the different panels of the Samsung are all exactly the same.

The only difference is the way they are set up, so different panel;s may need a bit more tweaking, but the end result will be no different be they S, C or A Panels.

This being said, I recommend the Sammie :D
