@xantufrog: My rather mild post for this game was deleted too. The odd thing is that while my post was removed/deleted, I only know because I just got a notification of someone responding to what appears to be my now deleted post. How strange.

@Blazen702: While I don't share the same sentiments (Inside is actually a 92/100 at metacritic, and remember the metascore fluctuates heavily in the first three weeks), but that said I too am now missing a post that was in this review.

@Pelezinho777: Playdead confirmed Project 2/Inside was a multiplat coming to PS a few years ago, then recently confirmed that Inside was a timed exclusive.

Inside is going to have the same trajectory as Limbo, which was a timed exclusive for Xbox 360 but eventually ended up on a variety of machines.

@Richardthe3rd: What we think is the way forward doesn't make it so today.

The falsehood once again: "where fighting game fans play this gen, and this confirms it".(You based a confirmation on a Tekken 7 article in a generation of x86 consoles).

While we might want the PC domination to continue and to be so today, and there would be PC perks, that doesn't mean it's actually happened yet, because it hasn't.

As it stands, many great fighting games this gen are not on PC.

Furthermore, fighting game fans go to tournaments like EVO and compete, and again PC isn't the platform of choice for those many fighting games found at all the major fighting game tournaments.

I get it, sometimes people are more a fan of platform than games (I'm used to fans of consoles and PCs to make fanboy statements about their platform), but right now I'm talking as a 20+ year veteran of the fighting game community. The vast majority haven't moved to PC yet and there is many reasons why, including the lack of fighting games that don't release on PC, the problems with various fighting game ports (some lack local 2 player play), and other reasons.

That doesn't mean that the PC isn't a great platform, but as it stands now it is NOT attracting all the latest fighting games this gen.

The community goes where the games go. It's nice that again, PC is making strides, but right now the PC is not the place to be as it's lacking a bunch of fighting games this gen (and many fighters from last gen).

I'm not arguing against the PC, as I enjoy my PCs, I'm simply defending the truth and keeping things legit regarding where the FGC (Fighting Game Community) is gaming. If and WHEN the PC does become "where fighting game fans play this gen", I won't have any problems.

I remember other PC elitists last gen making the same claims in SF4 articles. Thing is, that didn't happen and it's that kind of misinformation I'm against.

Right now? That day where PC is the place to play fighters because it has the majority of fighting games, isn't here yet. Maybe it's coming soon, but it's certainly not here yet, due to the lack of quality fighters that haven't released (various games mentioned in my first post, but there were more).

@korean411: Yep, I mentioned Tourney's and EVO, but I think more casual fighters are commenting here.

@lonesamurai1: "The only fighting games that really matter"? Says who, you?

That's nice and all, but that's just your (seemingly inexperienced) opinion and to be honest, perhaps you'd feel different if you watched gaming tourneys, saw all the games you can't play, and were more passionate about the FGC and Fighting game genre.

I agree that it sucks pulling out generations of consoles to play fighting games, and I already said it would be great if all the games were on PC...BUT, until that day comes, PC is not the best place for the fighting game community.

Who says I can't use Steam (which I do), as well as GOG, Greenman, Origin, Blizzard, etc...along with playing console fighters? That's how I roll because I love the genre.

Also, those games I mentioned above in reply were all available for the PS4 since they are new games, so in theory you could own a single console and play those games on PS4 and play the rest on PC that do get ported like Tekken 7 and SF5.

@expredator: The PS4 version was the first version announced, and that was many months ago.

@Richardthe3rd: Except for the fact there are dozens upon dozens of amazing fighting games that don't release on PC.

So, your statement is bunk.

Fans go where the games are.

That said, it would be nice if all those games were on PC, but they simply aren't.

The PC is making strides though, but we have a long way to go.

@lonesamurai1:

Yes, it means those that were lying and telling users a game was announced for PC months ago were liars and have egg on their face. They were called out for proof back then, presented no evidence, and kept lying to everyone in the comment sections about an announcement that Namco never made (until today).

It's one thing to predict something, that's fine, as it was an easy prediction. It's another to troll and lie and make dubious claims that don't exist.

The fact that Tekken 7 is coming to PC is fantastic, but lying is a big no-no and those users (who out of courtesy I won't call out) now have egg on their face for lying and claiming and repeatedly insisting these games were announced for PC back then (it happened today), just as those console gamers that claimed Tekken 7 would never go to PC, have egg on their face for being completely wrong (and not realizing Namco can easily port the game across machines for maximum profit).

The whole point was, there is a lot of people across gaming lines with egg on their face.

When you ask, "does it really mean anything?" Well, the same could be said about your first statement regarding console PS4 gamers. It doesn't matter.

What matters is more fans of Tekken 7 will be able to play the game across PC and consoles.
