@Barighm: FF15 had such potential, it's a shame the development team fell apart. I was actually looking forward to the planned (promised) DLC but unfortunately they ended up getting cancelled. I did very much enjoy Ardyn's story though. It wasn't the best or the worst FF in the series though IMO.

I'm looking forward to going back and enjoying this game again. It's nice to see them flesh out some of the side characters and still keep the memorable parts intact. I also like the combat options of tactical pause or old school turn based for those who want it. Agreed the voices are a hit or miss (what game doesn't have that) but at least it's on par with Advent Children from that regard which was tolerable.

I am sad about the multi-part release but if the first part lives up to the original, I say let them take the time they need to do it right. They didn't even have to do this in the first place.

Unplayable mess that copied RE7 and added a dog. A 5 is generous, props to the reviewer for honesty...hopefully more of that in the future.

Wait....is the $330 for the first part of the game? Or is it for the full game? This actually makes a difference if I am going to purchase it or not.

@izraal: I appreciate your well thought out reply, and I am sorry if there was confusion in my original post on the topic. PS: I remember exactly which encounter you're referring to in BG 2 ;)

The Pathfinder game has come a long way though - I haven't tried it again in several months but I know there are plenty of difficulty adjustments to make it playable now.

@izraal: This is an old thread, but your point is well taken. That wasn't the point I was going for though, it was the difficulty that was the root of my comment. I don't know one GM in all the years of table top D&D that would create a scenario that requires 20 rolls every turn of an entire campaign to make progress. That was the situation with this pathfinder game when it first came out. Many patches and bug fixes later, it's an improved game but still not optimized. They basically "fixed" it by making the player simultaneously be the GM and switch difficulty sliders on the fly if they chose to.

In the other games you mentioned such as NWN or TOEE, or even Baldur's Gate, I don't remember scenarios that required perfect rolls on every turn unless you were on the hardest difficulty and were looking for that situation purposefully toward end game.

It's a great game, this is why people still love it despite its "glaring issues". The problem is that Gamespot had a SJW maniac review the game and completely embarrass herself in the process. Glad she got called out on it. The developer deserve a hats off to also addressing the bugs and adding free DLC post release.

TL;DR: Keep SJW reviews out of zombie games.

If this game deserves a 9, it's time for me to move on from video gaming.

A 9 for unoptimized graphics/performance, huge grind for cosmetics, and always online requirement. Welcome to gaming in 2019.
