Another Single-player game going the MP route. First Ninja Gaiden 3, Mass Effect 3 now this...I'm sorry but anyway you cut it, these additions, to game's that were always single player, tend to make the campaign suffer. Screw the Single-player crowd I guess.
So basically devs/publishers want to make extra money off one game that's been traded, bought used, traded again, bought used again, etc. etc...This makes no sense If someone bought a copy new, they made the money on the game but yet want to make money after it's sold from that person's possession. So in a sense, they want to have ownership over a product you just bought. Sad, sad business right there. It's enough with the online passes, but now they want a chunk of the used games market? Maybe I'm just too stupid but I just think it's wrong. Really? lock out functions of a game unless we pay more? Not only that, games that are \$5-10 used in the store go for \$25-\$40 for a digital copy on PSN and XBL, least they can do is lower prices. $%^t, Steam does. Yes, I know Steam has a bigger selection and probably more people on there constantly buying games, by XBL/PSN will only continue to grow as well. If either the new Xbox or PS systems decide to follow this business model, I'll be sticking to PC and I hope many will also. With cheaper games at most times, Frequent Free DLC(Look at Left 4 Dead 2 for example as well as The Witcher)Mod support, stronger online communities, etc. there will be no reason to stick with consoles if this garbage happens.
I always assumed DLC is content that was worked on after a game's initial release. The fact there is on-disc DLC waiting to be unlocked after paying is stupid and a low blow from game developers. They basically announce DLC before the game comes out, and that is a severely flawed business model. So, Yes in this case, they are removing content that we should already own. Are we really surprised though? Capcom is Infamous for this, and if Mass Effect 2's 20 or so(I know it's not 20) DLC that released, I knew ME 3 was going to be "DLC hell." What's even worse....Capcom probably already has a Street Fighter X Tekken "Turbo Edition" lined up for a Christmas release.
I thought Dead Island was good. But every trailer for every game is always meant to look amazing, know matter what the game. Imagine if it was as mediocre as the Gamespot score said game received? No one would buy games.
Someone needs to adjust the gamma/brightness settings on the Xbox 360. I own it on the 360 and looks way better than that. As others said though, they look identical and neither looks leaps and bounds better, aside from the PC version. Play them all on similar 1080p screens with the same settings on that TV/Monitor then it'll be a more fair comparison
Im surprised they managed to get Zenbound on there but they forgot: Fieldrunners Hero of Sparta Azkend Bejeweled 2 Oregon Trail Critter Crunch Plus Many More People shouldnt underestimate the Iphone/touch 's gaming capabilities, some of these are really great titles(I can see Rolando being on PSP honestly), that get free updates which add levels/new weapons/stability. Plus most good games go 4-6 bucks tops so, you cant really complain to much
I'm starting to think GS does these to see all the idiots come out and defend how awesome their system is...They're probably sitting back, hitting the refresh button on their browsers and enjoying the slew of comments coming in. Don't buy into their crap, Gs do these articles like 3-4 times a year
So, I guess now we judge how good games are by graphics now? I mean seriously when did graphics make the game...Both systems have their advantages/disadvantages, yet people will always defend their system... I cant really see to many differences any way...now if it was 360/PS3 Vs Wii graphics comparison....
