[QUOTE="TheCrimsonKoopa"][QUOTE="DarkT33"][QUOTE="TheCrimsonKoopa"]I'm sure the majority of Nintendo fans are younger children and teenagers, who can't afford HDTV's (or a more expensive console for that matter!). That's why.DarkT33

The level of ignorance in that sentence is unbelievable.

The console part is sarcasm. But I'm serious about the HDTV part. You think the average non-spoiled thirteen year old Nintendo fanboy is going to be shelling out a thousand bucks for an HDTV?

Yup I see a lot of kids there

I'll assume that's a launch lineup of people wanting Wii's? If you watch the 'Smash my PS3' video on Youtube, how many kiddies are in that line?

You don't see many younger teens camping out for consoles at launch do you?

You think a loud mouthed, Halo 2 playing seven year old Xbox fanboy will be shelling out a thousands bucks for a HDTV, instead?

You didn't see the 'non-spoiled' part eh? He won't, but his parents will be.

Here's another example. Think about it this way, if your playing a four player splitscreen game, the quadrants have as many pixels as a one player game on SDTV.

Most people can't really tell the difference unless the TV is like 50 inches wide and if you're standing right in front of the screen to boot.RahnAetas

Television related damage control. There is an obvious difference in image quality and clarity. I found this on Wikipedia. Your telling me you don't see the difference?
