i actually do have a desk mic. i like gaming headsets though because they only have 1 cable so they don't really get in the way. Honestly Id prefer a wireless headset but at least the gaming ones seem to be not the greatest, unless you want to spend $300+. Ive had my eye on the seinheiser ones. Kind of expensive but Im sure its worth it if they are durable, i have no doubt they will sound great.

Ill look into all the suggestions some more. I think it would be hard to go back to a desktop mic when I almost exclusively play games that requires constant communication, but that is still an option.

And more importantly, how do you like it? Mine is breaking and I want to know which ones to avoid while shopping

edit: I ended up getting Seinheiser GAME ZERO headset. The build quality is great and the only complaint is the volume on the mic seems to be lower relative to other gaming mics. Not a big problem.

I'd be more inclined to play a game I'm borderline interested if its on steam. I will play good games regardless of the platform though (interesting origin exclusives, blizzard games, etc..)

@True_Sounds: You should check out the NZXT H440. It looks sick too, also the Razor edition looks bad ass also.

cool, yeah i actually saw someone talking about that case in a youtube comment for a Fractal 5 review. I was pretty interested but then I read that its a razer product lmao. I find keyboards are so gimmicky and their mice are seemingly designed to fail. I would be so hesitant to get anything associated with razer because of my negative bias. I'll still look into the reviews though I mean you never know

I watched a bunch of youtube reviews, and the Fractal Design Define R5 looks pretty sick. Anyone have an opinion on that case?

also this antec case has 3 slots for dvd / bluray drives. that is alot of wasted space because I only need 1. maybe a case with only 1 slot, or a more modular case would help making it more efficiently spacious?

I've been using the same Antec 300 case for almost a decade. I realize its getting outdated, as it has no natural way to hold SSD drives. It's also getting quite cramped around the GPU and hard drive, which makes cable management a pain. What are some options to replace this with? Hopefully something that will appear roomier in its placement of HDD slots in regards to GPU

this shows how cramped it is around my GPU: http://imgur.com/uzrqjb8

I know this has terrible ratings, but if my last version is NHL 13, would I be better off getting NHL 15 over 14. The horrible reviews are because its the same as NHL 14, not because it is a step back, right? At least with 15 I will get newer rosters.

The only mode I will be playing is Be A GM offline btw.

I much prefer prefer Steam now but like 5 or so years ago I used to use Gog.com. I just don't see value in DRM-free downloads, as stupid as that sounds. The whole steam community package is so much better to me.
