Hawken keys have been sent out to pretty much anyone that has signed up. I've played both MechWarrior Online and the Hawken alpha, it's lightning fast paced compared to MWO and I really like directional dashing so this is my go to game for mech combat now as opposed to Crysis Wars: Living Legends mod or MWO if we were being overly general and really lazy I'd say Hawken is like the Chivalry of mech combat games and MWO is like the WOTR of mech combat games.

[QUOTE="nutcrackr"]I thought the first was kinda average. Considering the amazing setting it did not unlock full potential at all. Best aspect is atmosphere but they need to raise the bar this time.Elann2008
Everything was rock solid except gunplay and character development. The gun-hit detection was horrible. And most monsters even with head shots were bullet-sponges. According to gameplay trailers, Last Light seems to have improved the gunplay, ten-folds.

I just want the controls to be reasonably responsive this time around, the atmosphere carried the first game far enough for me to enjoy completing the game, however.

Twelve dollars and fifty cents is not that much money. I was just asking your opinions.

I guess we think it's odd you're asking for opinions AFTER you bought the game. Generally, it's the other way around.

Does not matter anyway. I was going to buy it soon enough. I am a hardcore Tekken fan and a so so Street Fighter Fan.

There's always Tekken Tag Tournament 2 on consoles(there's a Wii U edition as well) which is easily the best 3D fighting game released thus far, on PC there's really only SSFIV and BlazBlue, the latter offers cross-platform play. This is TTT2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pVwnFkTsj0I&hd=1&t=13s

[QUOTE="Zubinen"]Darkfall 2.0 is coming out 12-12-12(tomorrow) and it seems to be getting a lot of attention as far as sandbox MMOs go.Falconoffury

Actually, they just pushed the release date back again, to sometime in January. Apparantly, they changed their mind on the player beta. Also, they want a simultaneous release on Steam now. You can pre-order on Friday, and get access to beta on Monday. Here is the link.

Great news in that case, I'll actually be able to play it when it comes out since I'll be on Winter vacation by then.

So, lower native resolution, lower fov, and more bloom to cover up texture flaws?

SFII but I prefer Third Strike and Blazblue over any other fighting games.

[QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"]i actually prefer having patchy textures it lets you guage distances better which is why i don't run clean textures in QL

I actually played Tribes on lowest texture settings most of the time with trees/bloom/sunshafts/etc. disabled. I meant player shadows(helps with awareness especially on lower FOV and low sensi) and the resolution, we see many gamers that grew up with 640*480/800*600/1024*768, right now we have gamers growing up on 1080p, etc., point is, there's no need to play at a resolution any lower than what you're comfortable with, unless framerate is that big of an issue, also my playstyle, i.e firing from ranges where most players can't land any shots: http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k202/Zubinek/tribesmad7.png benefits from higher resolutions. A lot of what pro FPS players do it may be a good idea to follow if you're trying to perform as well as possible e.g adjusting graphics settings for maximum visibility and minimal mouselag, playing against equal or better players, etc., but cm/360(unless you're playing on a sensi higher than 15cm/360) and resolution should be more personal.
